We have not had a good experience here. My late step mom had put her and my father there originally, I learned pretty quickly they were not taking very good care of him. They would charge us to get his hair and beard trimmed then when we would come in, he was not shaven or cut hair. His clothes were always dirty. There is no RN on staff there so in the evenings it's only aids and 1 LPN there during the day. We were in for 3 weeks in the summer and only saw the director there twice. My father was incontinent and would be soaked all the way through most times. Every time we asked the director Paul questions he was very vague as if he didn't really know the answers to my questions. I was going to move him and he passed away before we could get him moved. Now I am being told I had to give a 2 week notice to get our money back for most of the month that he passed away in. I am not sure how you give a notice when my father was dying. If hospice hadn't been called in we would have never found out what was truly going on in there. There was 3 people that I could honestly say were good workers. The director, Paul does not hire people with any kind of background or check references. The worst thing was most of the staff that worked with my father did not even tell us they were sorry for our loss. That says ALOT! Thankfully I have been in healthcare for a number of years and knew what questions to ask. I would never ever put a family member here!!

Diginty Care is unlike any other nursing home I have visited. The atmosphere is like your at home! The staff is amazing. If I had to make the choice to place a loved one in care, this definitely would be the place.

Dignity Care is a great place. My aunt and uncle lived there for almost 2 years. I can't say enough about the high quality of care they received. Paul, the head administrator, truly takes the time to know his clients, do little extra things to keep them happy, and is not afraid to get his hands dirty if needed. Skylar, the most gentle nurse ever is terrific! She has patience beyond belief with all of her "client" friends. I have never heard her speak in a harsh tone to anyone. My aunt and uncle enjoyed their interactions with Paul and Skylar. The rest of the staff were great too. If you are looking for a clean, safe, caring place for a loved one, Dignity Care fits the bill. Sara Gault Salina, KS

This is one of the most horrible nursing facilities in Salina! Staff let residents sit in SOILED briefs for extended periods of time (3-4-5-hours) and don't give one heck about these residents. The director/administrator has absolutely NO idea what he's doing...he just inherited the business from his mom. The DON (she's barely qualified to have this title) is no help to CNA's and is more concerned about the facility's image than the wellbeing of a resident. There have been many times that I've seen a skin tear should have been seen by a doctor but she just would wrap it in gauze and send them on their way. It's no wonder they can't keep a full staff...this place is a nightmare!
