I have a sister in this facility(Sara Norris). I have been satisfied with everything . The staff is friendly and I view each person as people trying to work and make a living like everyone else. Wish the rooms were larger but that's the only downside. I like the atmosphere when I walk in the building.

I’ve read the unfortunate reviews of some with Dickson Health and Rehab. I have only my experience when my wife was admitted. Much work and care goes into treating residents who are often in the terminal stages of life, and few other community resources for this exist for average people. The care that DHR provided was professionally done, efficient, thorough and well beyond what I could do by myself. She had gradually gotten sicker in the years prior to admittance, and the day she was admitted to DHR, I stopped worrying for the first time—she was in professional hands and would be taken care of. I thank them for helping her in her last days and I highly recommend them to those who might need their services in the future.

I am very disappointed in this place. They let my Dad starve for five days. I told them feed my Dad. Y'all are letting him starve to death. I didn't realize they were not feeding him until the nurse told me. Then when I told them to let him eat and told them to puree it they did not. He aspirated on the food and liked to died. Horizon Medical Center saved him. This nursing home had oxygen in his nose and had to put another on top of that and the tank was empty. Please do not put your loved ones in this nursing home. They will wind up killing them.

This place should not even exist. Why Medicare and Medicaid even approved this facility just tells me they do NOT check out the care of the patients at this facility or the cleanliness of this facility. The staff aren't knowledgeable and do not appear to know what they are doing. My Uncle was not fed or given anything to drink for 4 or 5 days. (They finally gave him breakfast on day 5 and his food wasn't pureed, which caused him to aspirate, again.) When he was admitted my cousins plainly told the staff he gets pureed food due to choking issues and aspiration. By day 5 he was severely dehydrated, blood pressure bottoming out, oxygen dangerously low. When he was taken by Ambulance to the hospital it pretty much took them half the night to get him stable. Dickson Health and Rehab Just about finished him off. Just know when they ask you to sign a dnr for your loved one, it's because they want the ok to starve them to death and pretty much do NOTHING to help them be on this earth just a little longer. They also bring empty oxygen tanks for patients and walk out of the room not listening to the patient telling them nothing is coming out, the tank is empty.😡<br>I wouldn't take an animal to this place. And they also have patients cramped in one little room that's not even big enough for one patient!😡<br>Please do your research before placing a loved one in this facility.

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY!!!!!<br><br>My husband was mentally, emotionally, verbally, and Physically abused in this facility!!<br><br>I expect communication with the owners immediately!!!
