A doctor at Tucson medical center who I will not name actually refer to Devon gables as the Auschwitz of nursing homes. My mother was left out in the sun during covid on mother's Day ended up having a heat stroke and I visited her that morning at 8:30 she was unrecognizable. One of the nurses by the name of June said why don't you just go ahead and let her die during covid, they will lie to you to your face and use family members against you. At the time my Mother was in there a woman by the name of Fran was the administrator. If you want to protect your loved one do not send them to this place. I have a horrible track record throughout the medical community have been in numerous lawsuits. There is a hell it is a fact have two people that will absolutely go there are going to be Fran and June. I will never forget what I saw and witnessed curled up with a UTI I was unable to go in because of covid what you are about what Devon gables is about is horrible.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PLACE! ESPECIALLY IF YOUR LOVED ONE IS A VET! They DO NOT take care of you!!! For over an hour my grandfather laid in his vomit. His call light was placed on the other side of the room! His brief had dried feces as well as in his crack. He had 3 sores just above his anus. It took over 20 minutes for anyone to come in after putting his call button on and we were basically called liars when we told them our issues. The students they had supposedly learning ARGUED with us when we voiced our concerns and called the staff out on their BS. PLEASE... if you love your family DO NOT TAKE THEM TO DEVON GABLES!!! That is where you leave them if you want to see them RAPIDLY decline.

I was at Devon Gables for a year and three months. Came home on August 30 of this year. My room was in the Annex building and the nurses were great there. Some wonderful NA's also. Physical therapist were helpful and caring. A special shout out to Paul, Tino and Lisa. The housekeeping staff was friendly and kept my room clean for me. Unfortunately, the food not so good. It started to get somewhat better towards the end of my stay there.I mostly had grilled cheese sandwiches for my meals and also ordered out. Thanks Unique Monique for taking such good care of me.

My Dad was at Devon Gables for a couple years. It was very difficult having my Dad in a nursing home but folks like Israel and Tanya made it a little easier. They would call me frequently with updates and and always kept me up to date. They took good care of my Dad. My Dad had dementia and was in the more secure section of the facility. People like Israel and Tanya are special. Not a lot of people can do that type of work but they both show compassion and patience. It’s because of them that I felt my Dad was being taken care of. Also, CM Brandyn was awesome. She is caring and would always get back to me right away if I had any questions or concerns. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I feel the facility itself is pretty outdated. It would be so nice if some parts could be renovated or just decorated in a way that would make it more bright and cheerful for the residents and not so gloomy. Thank you Devon Gables. Celeste
