I highly recommend this rehabilitation center. After breaking my back and spending ten days in the hospital, I was transferred to Delaware Bay Rehabilitation and what a blessing. I received care that was above and beyond the call of duty. From the nurses, technicians, doctors and every single employee I encountered they accommodated my needs during my stay. Not only was my pain managed, but my celiac disease was given special attention. The chef made a special visit with me to accommodate my dietary restrictions. My meals were good. The nurses and technicians always checked in on me several times an hour and greeted me with a smile and kind words, which makes a world of difference in any recovery. They made sure I received my medication in a timely manner and kept me out of excruciating pain. They made sure I had water and simply as comfortable as can be or needed anything. They responded to my calls in a timely manner when my nurse bell was triggered. Physical Therapy technicians worked with me and gave me the tools and knowledge to safely return home. They worked with me and helped me to navigate through my restrictions. I may have long term restrictions but I can safely climb stairs and dress myself and get in and out of my truck and more. During my discharge process I met with several doctors, social workers and manager supervisor overseeing and coordinating the process. He made sure I had the medical equipment and tools needed at home. The doctors made sure I had my medication ordered for my release so my pain was manageable. I watch how they all dealt with some difficult patients in a positive and professional manner. I commend them. I thank God for this rehabilitation center.

I would not recommend this place. They disregard families wishes and lack communication. They were told several times not to give my dad opiates but continued to go against that. This is the upper management that I’m referring to. Micheal; the “social worker” and Chris who I believe is the director. I had to personally hang up on. I felt so disrespected and gaslit. I fought so hard to get my dad out of that facility. My mom and I did the heavy lifting for Micheal to get my dad out of there. My dad seemed more like a dollar symbol to them. And to add to the lack of communication. They make Doctors appointments without telling the family. I called Monday to make an appointment for my dad to then find out he had an appointment that was scheduled back in December by Delaware Bay. My dad has been in a different facility since mid January. When was I suppose to be notified there was an appointment made??? And how was he suppose to get there if information isn’t passed on?? They also did not give out positive energy. They said my dad was not going to get better and now after being elsewhere he has been improving and will continue to do so.

Unless you can be there with your loved one 24/7 DO NOT SEND THEM THERE! The physical therapy contractors were caring & cheerful, but beyond that, the care was what nightmares are made of. They use traveling nurses & doctors to the point of zero continuity of care. Horrible, horrible experience overall!

Maybe last year they were good. They changed directors from what i understand and their care quality has gone to HELL. My uncle has been there for a while. They did some restructuring and in the past month my uncle has lost 40lbs, gotten sores and infections. Multiple times has been found sitting in his own urine and feces. Trying to get him moved asap. I wouldnt even give them a single star. And something tells me those 5💫 reviews on here are emplyees writing reviews.
