1. Housekeeping - Mr. Bill and his staff do a great job keeping the rooms and dining area clean.
5 Stars

2. Laundry - The laundry department does a great job washing, drying and making the clothes available in a timely many.
5 Stars

3. CNAs - Most of the CNAs do a great job and deserve a 5 star rating but because many times they are working short staffed, it’s impossible to for them to do all that needs to be done. Being overloaded effects their morale and performance at no fault of their own.
4 Stars

4. Nurses - The nurses work hard to administer meds but similar to the situation with the CNAs, many times they are working short staffed which increases the risk of making mistakes which has a negative affect on the residents.
4 Stars

5. Management - Sometimes management is slow to respond to problems. They politely listen to the problem but nothing happens to solve the problem. Part of the problem is the information about the problem doesn’t reach someone that is capable of solving the problem. In cases where the Administrator has been made aware of the problem, it has been resolved in a timely manner.
4 Stars

6. Food - Terrie and the cooks do a good job with the food budget in providing balance diets. They’re very accommodating in trying to provide for each resident and guest.
4 Stars

7. Facility - Keith does a good job maintaining the facility and is always quick to respond to everything that’s brought to his attention.
4 Stars

8. Outside Grounds - The outside grounds, grass, flowers and shrubs are all kept looking neat.
4 Stars

9. Price - At $329.00 per day (private pay), the price is too high for the service provided. The owners main objective seems to be profit at the expense of care. All businesses have to make a profit in order to stay in business but a little less profit and a little more spent on care by providing more employees so as to prevent them from being overloaded would raise the rating of the facility which would generate more business (more residents) and also help retain employees.
3 Stars

Overall Rating 4 Stars which leaves plenty of room for Improvement.

DCM has some really good employees but you also have some that fail miserably to correctly do their job and therein lies the problem. And this is like a chain that’s only as strong as it’s weakest link; those weak links put the residents at risk.

Health Care is a difficult business dealing with people with serious medical problems and imperfect employees (none of us are perfect) all while trying to make a profit in order to stay in business. With that said, I’m thankful for facilities like this that care for those I love.
