This place is Horrible!!! People are getting neglected & abused, while they’re covering it up!!! I’m about to do all I can to get my father taken out of this facility & also I am about to call every news station from New Orleans to Lake Providence to make sure they are handled properly!!! If anything happens to my father I’m shutting the whole facility down!!! He called the cops & they didn’t even try to see if he was ok, they took the word of the facility & didn’t even check on my father!!! Check on yall family members in this facility it’s dangerous & they’re locked down 24/7 unless they go out to smoke. Anyone who stands up to them get sent to the Behavioral Health Hospital to keep them quiet!!!

I AM VERY MUCH DISCUSSED WITH THIS FACILITY AND THE WHOLE STAFF. THEY NEVER ANSWERS PHONES AND WHEN THEY DO YOU ON HOLD FOR EVER OR THEY HANGS UPS. JUST RECENTLY, I TRIED REMOVING A RELATIVE OF MINDS WHO, I HAD BEEN TAKING CARE OF FOR TWO YEARS BEFORE PLACING HIM IN THIS FACILITY TEMPORARILLY BECAUSE THERE WAS KNOW BEDS IN NEW ORLEANS AT THE TIME AND THE ONLY PLACED HAD BEDS WERE 4 HOURS AWAY SO I EXCEPTED IT WITH THE UNDERSTANDING IT WOULD ONLY BE TEMPORARILLY AND THE ADMINISTRATOR, HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME MY RELATIVE DIDN'T WANT TO BE REMOVE AND SHE COULDN'T TALK TO ME KNOW MORE AFTER NUMEROUS OF STAFFS CALLING ME AND ASKING QUESTION CAUSE HE DIDN'T KNOW THE ANSWERB AND GIVING ME UPDATES SHE GONE SAY BECAUSE I WASN'T RELATED TO HIM. NOW MIND YOU IM THE ONLY RELATIVE THAT'S LISTED ON ALL HIS PAPER WORK, THE SAME RELATIVE WHO THEY CALLS ABOUT EVERYTHING PERTAINING TO HIM INCLUDING HIS PERSONAL INFORMATION WHICH WOULD BE A HIPPAA VIOLATION ON THE FACILITY IF IM NOT RELATED. IM SAYING THIS BECAUSE LITTLE DO SHE KNOW, I AM FULLY RELATED TO HIM WHICH WAS ONE OF HER MISTAKES AND I DON'T THINK SHE HAD THE RIGHT TO INTERVEN AND CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH HIS TRANSFER UNLESS IT'S SOMETHING MORE TO THE SITUATION. I GUESS WHEN I ASK FOR HIS BALANCE IN HIS ACCOUNT TO BE SENT AS WELL THAT SHUCK SOME FEATHERS BECAUSE NINE TIME OUT TEN ALLEDGELLY, HE'S NOT GETTING HIS MONEY LIKE HE SUPPOSED TO ANYWAYS SO SHE HAD TO FOUND A REASON TO EXCLUDE ME BY ASKING HIM PERSONALLY DID HE WANT TO LEAVE KNOWING DAM WELL HIS CAPACITY AND COMPREHENDING THINGS IS NOT INTACT AND I KNOW THAT I WAS HIS CARETAKER FOR 2 YEARS, AND FOR HER TO SAY THOSE THINGS TO ME BASICALLY HURT MY FEELINGS BY KEEPING HIM SUCCLUDED FROM FAMILY AND ALONG IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND NEVER HEARD OF. IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO HIM AND YOU CAN'T TALK TO ME WHO WILL BE NOTIFED THINK ABOUT THAT AND FOR AN ADMINISTRATOR TO NOT ALLOW A FAMILY MEMBER TO BE BROUGHT BACK HOME IS INSANE. THIS PLACE SAIDS RED FLAG CROSS THE BORDER AND I REGRET EVER LETTING HIM GO THERE BUT, I'M NOT DONE!

Something MUST BE DONE about certain NIGHT NURSES…. The attached photo is JUST from last night, when I spent over 2 HOURS of continuous attempts to reach a nurse. The emergency call button was responded to initially, and the responding CNA said she’d inform the nurse. That was around 3AM. after nearly 30mins without a response, I began to call. I also pressed my emergency call light. Neither were responded to for hours. This is not a 1 off with LISA.. this is an CONTINUOUS issue that has become a HEALTH AND SAFETY RISK. This ONLY OCCURS when she is “working” there’s no communication, and CERTAINLY no urgency to the way she handles herself or “responded” She’s Ignores individuals request, and chooses whether she believes you DESERVE medication or not. The Ombudsman has been notified and this, as well as previous instances have, been recorded and forwarded to them for their records. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE

My experience putting my mother here has been nothing short of a nightmare. There are a few good workers there, but for the most part most of them are lazy and noncommunicative. It would always take forever to get anyone on the phone. I would call and leave messages/call multiple times a day and couldn't speak with the physical therapist/speech therapist for about 2-3 weeks. On another note, a patient who is supposed to have a person watching them was allowed to walk down two hallways (in front of the nurses desk) and pull my mother's peg tube out of her stomach. She had to get another tube put in because of this. Not only that, but my mother, who is half paralyzed currently, due to a stroke, was left sitting in a wheelchair all day and she fell out, hitting her head and left temple on the ground because she was not supervised or cared for. Not only that, but when I went to pick her up for a transfer to another facility (which I had to do because this facility is literally in the middle of nowhere and didn't have any transportation available, I had to drive over 500 miles) she was left at the lunch table so doped up on medicine she was asleep. I was told time and time again that she didn't have the motivation to do therapy or she would be sleeping during therapy. Or was it that she was so doped up on medicine that she couldn't stay awake!? So much time was waisted that she could have been getting therapy that she very much needed. Over 1/3 of her days were waisted at this place. She hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch that day. She was not provided for at all. She had to go to the hospital because she was dehydrated. How do you let a patient get so dehydrated they have to go to the hospital? No one was making sure she at or drank. No one HELPED HER even though she couldn't use the left side of her body properly. Fast forward to bringing her to a new facility. As soon as she got there I saw a level of care beyond anything she ever received at Cypress at Lake Providence. A nurse actually sat by my mother's bedside and fed her. How sad is it that I was thankful someone was feeding my mother? DO NOT let the person you care for go to this place. They will be treated as less than human by most of the staff because they are always on those computers at the front desk or on their phones when they should be attending to patients. The first thing my mother was able to say after getting to the new skilled facility was "They don't complain when they have to move me." I'm sorry if the staff is over worked/understaffed or both, but don't take on more patients than you can provide care for. Do better Cypress at Lake Providence. Whoever the owner is/the people that work there just for the paycheck should be ashamed of themselves. I am disgusted at the treatment my mother got. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I would give 0 stars or worse.
