My mother is 80 yrs old and she is a resident there and the care is terrible. She is currently in the hospital. 1. Her room is never clean, 2. She has to wait forever to be cleaned, 3. I found out that the aides place their personal belonging in her room and her refrigerator, 4. They never provide her with routine hair and skin care. 5. Her meds were left on her tray, but the med tech on duty signed off stating that she administered her meds to her. Most of the workers have no compassion for the patients.....and some of them are from my hometown, Lake Providence, LA. My mother pays for services that are not being rendered to her properly and consistently. She chose to remain there because she doesn't want to leave her 83 yr old sister. The place, itself, isn't terrible but could definitely use a lot of noticeable repairs. The employees who work there make the statement, starting at the top. They simply do not care and it shows...being overworked and underpaid, results in poor patient care. Its just a needed paycheck...period. Every resident/ patient should be treated with compassion and dignity regardless of their race, religion, etc.
