My father was placed at the facility to strengthen him up. He was on a pic line, just had bowel surgery resulting with an illestomy and a catheter. They were informed about our concerns regarding infection right away. He did not receive a shower for a month. Over the course of his 2 month stay staff gave him 2 showers. I gave him the rest. He developed a uti in there which took over a week to get him on an antibiotic. He has kidney disease already so what’s the problem. When they decided to take him off the tpn I expressed my concern that it was too soon because he was barely eating to the doctor, staff etc. No one listened and I was assured they would have a nutritionist watching this. A couple weeks later they discharged him. I took him to my house and he was acting weird. He had no urine anywhere in the tube. Called the facility since I had them change the catheter and was told it probably needed flushed. Took him to the ER and informed them of the problem and told them I thought he was dehydrated and probably malnourished. Learned he was in kidney failure, severe dehydration, potassium level of 8.4. All of these affect the heart and he already had heart failure. And to add to it malnourished. He was hospitalized. No one should go into a facility and come out worse. I believe this has caused further damage to his heart and kidneys. Totally pathetic!!!! And to think he was charged 300 dollars daily . For what ? Another Five-Star Review for Countryside Manor – Fremont, Ohio I just returned from visiting Countryside Manor from June 9th through June 13th, and I’m filled with so much gratitude. This was my first time seeing the facility in person since my son was transferred there on Mother’s Day—and let me say, it was everything I hoped for and more. The care they’ve provided my son has been outstanding, and seeing it for myself brought me so much peace. The facility is clean, organized, and filled with kind-hearted people. From the moment I walked in, the hospitality was warm, genuine, and comforting—just as I expected after all the communication and support I had received from afar. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for the excellent care you’ve shown my son. Being so far away from home in Jacksonville, Florida, has not been easy, but knowing he’s in such capable, loving hands makes all the difference. If you’re looking for a place for your loved one—especially when distance separates you—I highly recommend Countryside Manor. God bless each of you for the work you do.
