I will not be able to adequately express how wonderful the Staff at Country Village are. From the moment I walked into the facility and was met by the Executive Director at the front door, to the day my Step-Father was discharged almost four months later, our Father's and my families experience was incredible. It is obvious the staff truly care for the people placed in their charge. My Step-Father needed skilled care due to a number of physical issues as well as a sudden mental decline. He was not an easy person to provide care for and keep safe due to his mental confusion. They supported him, and helped me advocate with his medical providers. When the providers wanted to dismiss his issues as dementia, they believed me and helped me convince the providers that it was not dementia, as that disease does not come on in such a short time. He was able to recover mentally and physically while at Country Village and was able to move into an Assisted Living facility. They have even helped me and given me advice after his discharge! I would definitely recommend the facility to anyone who needs assistance caring for a loved one.

A dear friend of ours turned 90 years of age, and had a minor stroke that affected the use of her right leg. After six days in the Littleton hospital, she was sent to Genesis Country Village in Lancaster for two weeks of rehab and PT. The nursing staff and aids were so very helpful and kind, as was all the staff throughout the facility. The PT trainers were so very kind and helpful in her recovery. It's an older facility, but very well kept and clean; doesn't smell like other facilities we have visited. They provide an active schedule to keep the patients moving and engaged. Of the four pastors we talked to, they all recommended this facility. The only negative she talked about was the food, but then she was comparing it to the Littleton Hospital which operates a gourmet kitchen. Thanks to all for your kindness, concerns, and dedication to care!

Not a place I would bring a loved one or relative. This place was dishonest about the care and goals set for a rehab stay. After a 2 week stay and thousands of out of pocket expenses, my family member was discharged from them claiming there was improvement and is ready for discharge. There was no improvement at all and my family member came out of country village the same way she went in. So with that level of dishonesty I would suggest to anyone to find another nursing home facility. Their goals appear to be set on revenue rather than the exceptional skilled nursing care that they claim to have. It is worth also noting that communication with your loved one will be very limited. They supposedly were or still are having problems with their phone lines that has been going on for weeks. Some days I called for 10 to 12 hours getting busy signals or their phone lines just ring and ring. Ironically this occurs more often between the hours of 5pm And 9am and on weekends but have had it occur during regular business hours of 9 to 5. It creates a big problem for family members who still want to speak to their loved one while at their nursing home facility. Would not recommend Country Village Center to anyone.
