Wish I could say good things about this place but in hindsight it’s as bad as all nursing / assisted living facilities. Management is the number one issue here because they do nothing to resolve issues. Oh they will tell you in their care meetings what you want to hear but nothing changes. They say you must be able to ambulate by yourself but there are several people incapable of walking, several in wheelchairs. They need assistance but don’t get it most of the time. That’s the least of the issues. People in the memory care are there for a memory issues, dementia They forget how to do simple things in life. The residents do not have a pitcher of water in their room so if they are thirsty they have to wait for a staff member to get them out of bed. They get dehydrated and weak. God forbid a resident to say no because they don’t try but once most of the time to help them out of their room. They say we can’t make them or force them to take a shower, get up out of bed, go eat their food. Memory care residents forget things, you have to keep trying. Lord knows I’ve seen too many go without food because they didn’t want to come out of their room. Staff sure don’t bring it to them either. When you have the meetings with management they tell you exactly what you want to hear but the issues never get solved. It’s a hopeless case to address issues over there. They smile and tell you oh we do that, or I will make sure it gets done. They tell you in their admission they take them out at least once a month to ride around. Don’t believe that because it don’t happen. There meals are the same old same menu. This meal in the picture was another resident meal but they gave it to my mom. It supposed to be a hamburger. They say they change the residents briefs 3 times daily. I would post a picture of that brief but it was to nasty to display. They sure don’t change them 3 times a day. They lay and sit in it all day. These issues were addressed in our care meeting but never resolved. Told management staff sit around the big table and look at there phone or disappear during meals. You know how many residents get choked or need refills with their drinks. There sometimes no supervision. Medication nurse stays around to give meds out but the others disappear. It really don’t do no good to address to management nothing changes. Talking with other families of residents that are there they agree with us. The care just isn’t there for our loved ones. There are maybe 3 staff that does take initiative and cares but they don’t work all the time. This review probably won’t get posted but it needs to be known to the public. It’s a sad sad place to be for memory residents. Very, Very expensive around $8500 a month.
