I would never trust this place with my family again. My godfather was placed here for a 10-day course of IV. Our experience with the nursing supervisor, Jamie, is disturbing. I’m the patient’s translator and god-daughter (he doesn’t speak English). Whenever we raised basic concerns like nausea or belly pain, Jamie dismissed them (“he never told us that”), gaslit, or shifted blame (“it’s the previous hospital’s fault”). When we asked questions about treatment, Jamie responds with personal defensiveness, saying things like "I do so much for this family and now you ask this," or “I don’t like the way you’re talking to me,” — without addressing the actual symptoms . (she seems unable to tell legitimate patient needs from attacks against her) When I called about patient’s pain, Jamie guilt-tripped me for not knowing his medical history (“so you don’t know what pain meds he was taking, and now you’re complaining?”) — when SHE failed to read the patient’s file, which clearly states the medication’s name. She later escalated by complaining about my advocacy to the patient’s POA, which created fear that raising concerns might lead to worse care. This is disturbing. Jamie placed the patient in a power dynamic he never asked for. Advocating for a loved one should not result in fear. I hope this review can be a warning to those caring for the elderly. Communication and accountability are not optional. I doubt this facility can provide this.

First of all Bryce, the CEC director, was a tremendous help to my Mom and I navigating through a couple of insurance hurdles to get my Dad accepted into the facility when we were in a time crunch. He was Awesome! When my Dad was first admitted to CEC he could not walk on his own after a 2 week stay at the hospital next door. When he was discharged, he walked out under his own power. What a difference!! The nursing staff is very friendly and attentive and are great about getting the correct medication administered. The PT staff worked wonders for my Dad. He enjoyed the workouts. Also the activities room staff were great about engaging and entertaining the residents with games and different activities. Thank you CEC for all you do!!!

Do yourself a favor and go off the reviews on yelp. They reflect better what kind of place this is. My 86 year old, Spanish speaking grandma was admitted because she needed constant physical therapy, accoridng to the doctor in the hospital that discharged her, but she didnt have an intake meeting until 5 days after she was there. They were supposed to provide physical therapy and failed to do so. They left her for hours on end unattended after she would go to the restroom on the bed. She didnt want to eat or drink becasue they would take forever to change her, despite the fact she was mobile, albeit slow, but they kept her on the bed for entire days never really moving her. She was told by a nurse that she was not supposed to press the call button, the one time she needed assistance. They scolded her and told her she was not allowed to call because everyone was busy. The only time they facility started to treat her with respect and care was when we began pushing for her to be discharged and all of a sudden they were able to pull her chart, (they also lost paperwork that had previously been signed), get a hold of the doctor she never saw and was supposed to be present at her "in take meeting" (they also made her sign a document saying that the doctor had seen her when he never did, and did not notify the family). They couldn't answer basic questions about what the plan was or why they did certain things. The physical therapy they provide is a joke, all they did was walk her once a day from her room (that she shared with 2 other people and was severely neglected) to their "gym". I asked them what other therapy she received and they gave empty answers of well its up to whats in her file. And I asmed well whats on it, and they continued bluffing and not giving a staright answer. They never bathed her once. They only "bathed" her the night before she was discharged and all they did was wet her with water, and only because we asked how she could be there for almost a full week and not once had she been bathed despite the fact that they would let her stay soiled for hours. They also claimed she had a deep skin tissue wound on her back, only to find out after she was discharged, that she did not have any wound. This place is deplorable, they only want the insurance money. Its grimy, dirty, the "directors" and head of their departments are unprofessional. After we had decided in the delayed "intake meeting" that we did not want her to staying there anymore, they were quick to agree saying they dont blame us thay the place is bad and they wouldn't want their loved ones there too. If this is how the "directors" and head of departments feel about the place they supposedly care for the elderly, there is no better proof that this place is the worst. Dont leave your loved one here. I really feel for all the patients they have.

My mom has been here for a week so far and has had excellent care and physical therapy. I trust these people with my Mom and my mom has been very happy here. The TV channel selection is very limited but mom is sleeping most of the time anyhow. The staff has been extremely courteous and helpful. I was worried at first because I have heard so many terrible stories about nursing facilities but I am there with my Mom everyday and have seen personally the quality of care they provide. I really recommend this skilled nursing facility for your loved ones.

I feel the entire place has improved since I was there last. My friend’s room was clean and the place did not smell. My friend was nice and clean and look refreshed. The staff were kind and accommodating. I’m so happy to see her happy!
