We moved my dad into Commonwealth at Stratford House recently and the team there has been incredible. The building is immaculate, the staff is very caring -- espeically the director, Cherie -- and the vibe is friendly. Also, my dad is a veteran, and having the team at Stratford add him to their "Wall of Valor" has been very meaningful to him. He's in a nice apartment in independent living at Commonwealth; we hired an outside caregiver to come in and spend a couple hours a day with him to help with errands and manage his prescriptions, which is how we're able to make the independent living work for us. I'm very appreciative of the care and the community they offer at Commonwealth Stratford.

This review is dated March 23, 2025. I wish I could leave a better review and I can’t decide if three stars is too generous. But I want to believe that everyone is doing the best that they can. First off, I know my mother was Initially, extremely challenging And I appreciate the tolerance and patience they exhibited towards her.. But Generally for the nature of the business of elder care, my experience was less than what I hoped for, noting that I don’t feel that any of my expectations were unreasonable. My mother was a Residence of Commonwealth for a few months In late 2025 until I moved her to Assisted Living closer to me. during that time I had sent her some items which she never received. After several inquiries, I could not Even Determine if those items were delivered. Not until I was preparing to move her, did I find out They were withheld and I was Able to retrieve them. In addition, I found the managerial staff somewhat unresponsive in any timely manner. I was in need of certain types of documentation to transfer my mother to an assisted living in my state. I initiated the process roughly 3 weeks prior to the move. Three weeks later, I am on the phone texting and driving and calling Trying to get that Information. It was not until I was an hour away from our destination did I finally receive the information that I needed to move her in. And this is after several phone calls and emails During the previous three weeks from both myself and the new Assisted Living facility requesting that information. Even as recently as a weeks ago I sent an email asking for an expense report in order to file my mother’s taxes and never heard back. A week or so later I had to call the facility and spoke to somebody who forwarded my request to the business manager who Was I able to have that information emailed to me. The facility itself is Adequate and The general staff seemed to be friendly. A new facility my mother is and now stands out as I stark contrast. Very responsive very accommodating.
