I was highly disappointed! I was told this is the caregiving agency to go to!! However, I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to Comfort keepers in Cda, Idaho. Penny per the website is a client care specialist with years of experience. Our experience with Penny was unprofessional, not compassionate to parents situation and made us feel as though we didn’t know what our parents needed. The billing is always questionable and to get answers back from bookkeeper, penny or the owner is like pulling teeth. The caregivers were nice enough and seemed to care, but it seems like they go through caregivers more than I change my socks. Which leads us to believe that the caregivers are unhappy there too. I asked one caregiver about how she liked working there and at first she said “I love being a caregiver” But when I pushed she stated that there was a time it felt like family but now it feels like an empty soul and then next thing I know she has resigned. The positive thing I can say (why I gave 1 star atleast) is the scheduler Jenny… she is always so kind, professional and communicative. She has listened to my woes with the decline of my parents and always answers our calls. Anyways, in our caregiver support group I expressed our disappointment and was recommended another agency and thus far I am very pleased with the new agency. I am not sure what has changed over the years with Comfort keepers, looking at past reviews…… it seems many were very happy with the agency, but I was not happy and many in our support group have expressed it as well. So sad for all involved.
