I was recovering from a broken femur here and cannot give enough Stars for Collinsville Nursing and rehab! I was treated like I was family to each one of them from the cafeteria, the office staff, the CNAs, the nurses, the physical therapy team and every other staff member I came in contact with! They were loving and encouraging every step of the way! I have to give a shout out to the other patients that were there when I was, the ones I saw everyday at 10am, 2pm, 8pm, and in physical therapy that might be reading this, you all were great great friends! Also loving, encouraging and hilarious! Lots of love for EVERYONE I mentioned in this review! I will see you soon, AS A VISITOR! not a I read one of the reviews that had nothing but bad things to say about Collinsville Nursing and rehab including the cleanliness. They cleaned the rooms WELL and DAILY(i did not have to ask). The amount of time their family member ignored by a nurse to use the restroom, when she stated that family member had no problems going to the restroom. I was there for almost 2 weeks and I was helped to the bathroom the first couple of days. Because I busted my butt in therapy that was offered to me many times a day, I was able to use the restroom on my own. The amount of times they offer EVERY PATIENT THERAPY (A FEW TIMES A DAY) BUT PATIENTS HAVE THE OPTION TO REFUSE THERAPY! I found that out while I was in therapy and they would mention that some patients, not by name, were not wanting to go to therapy when it was offered. I also heard patients say that they didn't want to go every time they were asked! I don't believe that they cleaned my room daily and not others, taken me to the bathroom more than others, I showered every day, not because I felt like it they encouraged me to because it would help in my recovery. Offered me to go to therapy more than others nor had mean and hateful nurses when I did not! I was no different than other patients that worked there That worked hard to recover. But what was the same with me, I had the same staff taking care of me that took care of the others in rehab at Collinsville Nursing and Rehab. I am now, only 3 weeks later, recovering at home and bearing full weight on my leg. I still have work to do but I give thanks to Collinsville nursing and rehab for getting me started and giving me exercises to do at home to continue my recovery.

This place was an absolute disgrace to even be called a nursing home/rehabilitation center. My 60 year old mother was placed here after breaking her femur and at first it seemed like it was going to be okay for her to be there as they said they would have her working out 3 times a day to get her leg stronger, and walking her through the halls when she wanted too. They were only getting her up once (if that) because most of the time they had her doped up on Percocets and haledol. But when my mom arrived she voiced that she did not want to be on haledol as she took it 40 years ago and it didn’t react well with her, I was told by the nurse Jennifer that she could refuse the medication but when they would give her the medication they would not telll her what it was. I spoke with a different nurse and explained she didn’t take that medication and the woman argued with me that she did in fact take it. But as the child who has taken care of all my mom medicine in times when she needed for the last 20 years I know for a fact she’s never taken that medication. While I was there 8/3/24 it took them 29 Minutes for anyone to come into her room after hitting the call light. When they got tired of her hitting her call light they slapped a diaper on her and called it a day. She didn’t need a diaper she’s 60 years old and can go to the bathroom on her own. Not only did they put diapers on her and leave her in her own mess for hours at a time they did not get her up to walk her around or barely got her up for the rehab once a day for 30 mins. When I made it down there on 8/4/24 to see her after her being there a week the woman didn’t know I was behind her and I listened to her scream at my mother && Once I walked into the room she changed her tone completely and then proceeded to tell me that my moms blood pressure was 69/41 and her pulse was weak but mind you my oldest sister had called 5 minutes prior to my arrival and they said she was doing great just not feeling too well. My mom was then taken to Huntsville ER where she was admitted for 3.5 days with a E.Coli UTI from having a pamper put on her and forgotten about. Unfortunately these people did not provide the level of care for my mother that they claimed they would. On top of all the other stuff The floor was so sticky my shoes stuck to the floor. Plus they lost all the clothes but two pairs of pants and 5 of her 7 T-shirts. She got two pants and shirts of another woman’s && all her socks bras and panties are just gone There were a few nurses that seemed like they did care but for the most part most of them acted like they were irritated my mom was there. Not only was this one of the worst experiences I’ve ever dealt with I know that has my mom been left there any longer she would have most likely died. I would highly recommend if you have family or friends who need a rehabilitation facility you research the one very extensively because this facility was absolutely ridiculous. Never in all my 40 years in life have I ever witnessed such utter disregard for human life . Nurses and cnas take an oath to provide care for our loved ones and this was heart wrenching to see some of these people never being moved just placed in front of a tv and called it a day. I will tell anyone who will Listen this facility does not stand up to the values they claim to provide , do better collinsville because unlike my mom there are people in your facility that don’t have anyone to advocate for them. But you all ough to be ashamed of how you treated my mother and I hope and pray that none of your loved ones ever come to be in need of your facilities because I wouldn’t even ever send my dog to be cared for by anyone of you .

Wonderful Caring facility for your family members. My brother lives there and the entire staff is so good to him. Collinsville Nursing Home gives good old fashioned care and great bedside manner from all employees. I wouldn’t want my brother to be anywhere else but Collinsville.

The people there are really great with the ones that have to be there. Every time I went to see my husband during his stay for rehab he was always clean and was always well taken care of. It sure does give you some peace of mind to know good people are taking care of your loved ones. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a place to go for rehab or for a longer stay.
