I would like to bring attention to a very concerning problem at Clifton Outpatient Rehabilitation in Somerset MA. This is an outpatient therapy center that DOES NOT HAVE A HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE!! There are 2 very heavy doors that have to be opened MANUALLY to gain entrance to the Outpatient Rehabilitation center. This is an unsafe situation for patients who are already compromised and needs to be addressed. I am currently a patient myself and chose Clifton for the staff and my previously successful treatment. I have tried to address my concerns through the "proper channels" but to no avail, so hopefully this review will get some results. Thank you

Great rehabilitation facility. Everyone that works here is so genuine and kind towards the residents and guests. Lloyd from housekeeping and Michelle from Physical therapy have been especially wonderful. Highly recommend Clifton.

Clifton was the second rehab that my 95 year old Mom, Laurette went to. She had fallen at home and fractured her left wrist, right kneecap and her nose. She had surgery on her wrist and it was casted. She also had to wear a full length right leg knee immobilizer. The first rehab was horrible. I am an RN and actually worked at Clifton around 1982 as a CNA when I was going to SMU to get my BSN in Nursing. So I have been an RN for over 40 years and I know what good nursing care is. At the first place, I was afraid to leave my Mom, because I knew that even her most basic needs were not being met. After 4 weeks there, she developed a large pulmonary embolism and had to return to Charlton Hospital for a life-saving procedure and did very well. When it was time for her to be discharged, we requested that she go to Clifton, and luckily there was a bed available. She received a very warm welcome there and within a few hours, she knew that she would do very well there. The nurses were kind, professional, and responsive. The food was so much better than we expected, she actually gained back the 11 lbs she had lost in the first place and I didn't have to bring in all her meals. The rehab staff was excellent and motivating. The CNA's were kind and responsive. Shout out to Aida and Cindy, who I saw every evening when I went there after work. They really made my Mom feel like a person who was worthy of good care. We can't thank Michelle, the concierge, enough for her frequent visits and humor. The facility itself was beautiful and very clean, like a 5 star hotel. Lastly, the activity director, Lou, was great. His enthusiasm and constant smile were so uplifting to patients and family. The frequent musical programs, bingo and special events helped my Mom pass the 3 months that she was away from home and distracted her from her pain and boredom. She is now home and getting back to her busy life and feels very blessed for her experiences at Clifton. I understand how difficult it is to provide so many services in 1 facility, but somehow Clifton pulls it off. We are very grateful. Gisele Rodrigues

I felt the nursing care was excellent. The Physical Therapy was outstanding and the Occupational Therapy was very creative in its individual support. I am delighted with my progress and the future they prepared me for.

I can’t thank the entire activities staff at Clifton enough and all the others that assisted in the wonderful celebration for my parents 50th anniversary party. They exceeded our expectations and we are very thankful that our parents are in such great hands there. A very sincere thank you for all involved.
