This is a family-owned business. I had been dealing with the owner's daughter. I called the daughter on a Thursday afternoon around 3PM. As usual, she did not answer so I left a message requesting a call back. As power of attorney for the would-be resident, in my message I stated that I was ready to sign some pre-admission paperwork. The next Monday came and it was 9:30AM and the daughter still did not return my call. So I called her and this time she answered. The first thing she said was "Sorry I didn't call you Friday because we had a family picnic." That floored me! So it must have been an 8 or 9 hour picnic. But she couldn't break away from the "picnic" for a minute to return my call? So I told her I was ready to come over to sign that previously discussed paperwork. She stated she will let her director of the facility call me to set up an appointment. Ten minutes later, the daughter called me and said there were no openings in Mt. Pleasant due to an existing resident moving from assisted living to one in the memory care buildings next door. She then had the audacity to tell me there may be an opening in their Sheyboygan facility. So I would have to drive almost 2 hours one way to visit the resident that I represented. I passed on that.

My dad has been at Harvest Home for over 3 years now and they are exceptional. They care for and actual care about their residents like they truly are family. They also make me feel like I am a part of the family there. They have given me total piece of mind that he is safe and happy since we arrived at the point I could no longer care for him by myself. The building and grounds are immaculately maintained. The entire staff is wonderful. They are great about keeping me informed of everything I need to know, and responding to any questions or requests I have regarding my dad's care. An excellent option for someone looking for a quality assisted living community.

I checked it out for a client and also the facilities in Howard Grove and found all outstanding. The physical space is ideal for memory care and the staffing is fantastic. One to four residents is something not seen. And the intentionality of who they hire is evident by how employees show up. I have visited many memory care facilities and I put Harvest Homes at the top

My Mom has been at Harvest Home over 14 months now, my Mom felt comfortable right from start, the way the staff welcomed my Mom in and made her feel at ease.(Harvest Home doesn’t have a nursing home feel, it has a Welcome Home feel)😊 From the games, activities, crafts, exercises, singing church hymns the staff has always been there to help 😊 there is a wide range of activities from playing Bingo to building puzzles to identifying what the picture is, to walks in and outside the houses. I’ve seen situations where the care givers where helping a residents work through difficult situations with care and understanding. To me that kind of compassion can’t be taught, (you either have it or you don’t) this I have seen several times. The owners of Harvest Home are very personable, and fast acting If a problem arises they are quick to fix it. The medical staff is also quick to act, and not only that they’ve also helped me in getting my Mom’s prescriptions straightened out. To shorten this story up in a nut shell, I would not hesitate recommending Harvest Home to any of my friends or family, or even myself 🤩😀🤩 Rest assured your family members are in great and capable hands when their in the caring hands of Harvest Home ☺️ 😊☺️

My husband’s mother has been living at Harvest Home since July of 2022. The staff has been wonderful and are very caring and attentive to the residents needs. It is hard enough placing a loved one in someone elses care but we feel confident she is being well cared for. I highly recommend Harvest Home should you need to place your loved one in a care facility. They make it feel like home!
