Respite Care

Ovation Jewish Home offers short-term respite care for individuals recuperating from surgery, illness or other health issues. Respite care can also serve to provide caregivers a temporary rest from caregiving, while the resident continues to receive 24-hour care in a safe environment.
Stays usually last two to four weeks and include the following services:

•    24-hour care by trained caregivers
•    Private single-bed guest rooms
•    Housekeeping and daily bed linen services
•    Three delicious kosher meals a day, and snacks as needed
•    Personal care assistance

Memory Care

Helen Bader Center

The Helen Bader Center, envisioned by Helen Bader, known for innovative programming, and commitment to research, offers a safe, nurturing, caring environment for residents with Alzheimer’s and related dementia. Our goal is to maximize functional, social, and cognitive abilities for all our residents.

Helen Bader was a former Assistant Director of Social Services and Staff Education Coordinator at the Jewish Home who was deeply affected by her work. She saw the daily challenges that are brought on by dementia and sought to bring joy to the residents’ lives through music and dance. She believed that creativity could connect with everyone.

Specialized Training

Our approach to memory care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory loss is based on specially designed, safe, and stimulating environments and programming to keep residents engaged in life. Our staff is specifically trained to support residents experiencing memory loss, and is highly skilled in anticipating, understanding, and meeting the needs of residents.

Daily activities are planned to nurture the creative abilities, and continuing activities that give their lives pleasure and meaning. Some activities include:
