I lived at Center Court for just over two years. Like any other apartment community, it has its good points and not so good points. I'll start with what I liked about it: I really liked the space in my 1 BR floor plan (McMillan). Though the balcony wasn't huge, it was big enough to sit out on. I also liked the dark cabinets in the kitchen and granite (?) counter tops and the pendant lighting in the kitchen. Center Court did a nice job of decorating the downstairs lobby for various holidays, including St. Patrick's Day! The lobby and recreation room are nicely furnished and decorated. Each floor has a small lounge area also. Jerman, the maintenance man, is very hard working and always responded quickly to any maintenance requests I put in.
Now for the things I did not like: My main complaint about Center Court was the outside noise. It is a very urban environment, with lots of noise from traffic on nearby State Street. It is in the flight path of the LifeFlight helicopters that go to the Intermountain Hospital Center down State Street, so you can hear them flying back and forth several times a day, even when you're trying to sleep at night. The building also sits behind a hotel, which sometimes has loud guests outside in their parking lot. Also, the garbage companies (2 of them) that come to pick up the trash for the hotel and neighboring stores sometimes come early in the morning before sunrise and make a lot of noise as they lift the metal dumpsters to their trucks. If you are a light sleeper, this isn't the place for you. Finally, though other apartment communities do this too, I did not like being forced to pay $95/month extra (later raised to $105) to buy a mandatory package of internet, satellite TV and home phone service. When I questioned this, I was told that the management company would have to charge more for rent if they did not require this media package of everyone.
EDIT: After complaining about Center Court keeping ALL of my security deposit, despite my best efforts to keep the apartment clean and in good repair while I was a tenant, AMC decided to refund me the money they had deducted for "Covid sanitizing", but nothing else. This is what they refer to in their reply below as working with me to get my refund. I was still charged for carpet cleaning, even though I was the only tenant in the apartment and I had no pets, and did not wear shoes in the carpeted bedroom. I did not receive any explanation of my final water and sewer charges, only a figure that was deducted from my security deposit. If you move to Center Court, basically expect to lose most of your security deposit, even if you thoroughly cleaned your apartment before you moved out.

We moved in before Center Court was even finished. It was under different management at the time and everything was great for a couple of years. Would not recommend at this time. The AMC management has left us without a full time property manager. The building has really gone unattended as far as cleanliness goes. The outside windows have NEVER been washed. Residents pay the owners property tax as part of the rental agreement. The security feature of having the doors locked after hours has not worked for over a year - but we still have to pay a fee for that. To let guests in, we have to take an extended elevator ride down to let them in. Paint is chipping off of the walls, the carpeting doesn’t lay flat, but instead is full of waves perfect for tripping over. Carpets have never been cleaned. Just saying, not a great time to move, but extremely disappointed over the last 6 years. Truth to power.

I have been visiting my grandfather all of 2020 and 2021 and i don’t think the elavator has ever been cleaned the whole time. I would always use my elbow or something to push the buttons. This place looks so pretty but isn’t very clean I have posted pictures of the dirty places and I wish it was cleaner. I am glad they said to write a review because it’s so dirty here and they need to do something about it ! I also used the public bathroom on the first floor and it was soo dirty with no toilet paper at all. Let’s do a little better to keep these elderly healthy please.

I have lived here for almost 5 years. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I am greatfull for the elevator, that makes getting groceries home a lot easier. I enjoy visiting with the residents and feel safe, because the doors to the building are locked at night.

My husband and I love it here at Center Court Apartments. The management is always welcoming, cordial and they do their jobs well. We have met and enjoyed the other residents and everyone has been very kind and they always say hi and smile. Of course life has changed for all of us lately with the COVID 19 but we feel so lucky that we have a safe and well run place to live. We have always had very fast response to any issues concerning maintenance or problems we may encounter. The maintenance staff is excellent, they always do a good job and keep things looking clean and fresh and bright. We are glad to have an elevator as we each have aches and pains and having trouble with stairs. Being in our 70s we like knowing we are in a place where we are safe and accommodating. Locking up during off times makes us feel secure. So we both agree that if things remain as they are, we will be more than happy to stay here for a long time. By the way, a big thank you to all mentioned in this review. You are all amazing, fun and dedicated to doing your job so that we are all comfortable.
