Very poor facility I think the call light is only a suggestion, had to help somebody the other day they were in their room screaming for help for over an hour, and I had to go up and wake up a couple of the people that’s supposed to be helping that we were just actually doing nothing Very slow at giving you any medication’s you’re supposed to get but at best I get my morning medication’s. I take between early morning. I’ve been getting them mid afternoon. At least better than not getting them but still have been addressed two or three times about that and nothing has ever changed.

My husband stayed at Center At Waterfront from October 23 thru Dec26 to recover from a stroke. While the PT and OT were very good, his progress was compromised by painful Pressure ulcers which developed during his stay, in addition to more than one UTI. The second UTI went untreated despite my concerns (expressed to the doctor and various nurses). It was later explained to my son and I that the center would received demerits for ordering too many urinalysis. So to avoid a mark against them, my husband’s health was seriously compromised. When admitted to the hospital on 12/26, it was discovered there was no bandage on the silver dollar size open pressure ulcer on his tail bone, and his catheter was blocked. When the catheter was replaced, and the pus filled urine could finally drain, it could be described as the consistency and appearance of ‘chicken gravy’. Throughout his stay, the staff repeatedly failed to assist my husband with his CPAP machine, and unable to put it on himself, he did not benefit from a prescribed treatment more than 30% of the nights he was there. He was supposed to be repositioned every 2 hours to help with the healing the pressure ulcers, but as I visited there multiple hours each day, I typically had to ask the aides to do it. I would not recommend this facility to anyone, and would strongly caution against it. I give it one star only because it will not post with zero stars.

This place has apparently declined significantly in their care. My stay was terrible. I was on a restriction due to hip surgery so wasn't allowed to get out of bed on my own so they kept my walker out of reach. To request anything you can only push a button that causes a light to come on. There is no other way to communicate, so if no one responds you are simply out of luck. They often would not bring me my pain medication even though it was past the scheduled time and I had made multiple requests. A CNA will sho

We chose the Center because we felt it would provide the best therapy options. We have not been disappointed M-F I have had 2 hours of therapy each day and 1 therapy session every Saturday we have been here and most Sundays we had a therapy session. We could not have asked for better therapists than Jen, our COTA, and Perry, our PTA, both were VERY EXPERIENCED and knowledgeable. I believe they got me farther along in my recovery than I thought I would achieve. Meredith, the therapy director, and Alexis, the OT, and Kelly, the DOT, provided excellent guidance for the therapy regimen. Whenever Perry or Jen were not available there was a very strong cadre of backup therapists to cover for them. Kaitlin, the SLP, provided the appropriate therapy I needed to help my facial muscles come back.<br><br>Our room was very good with a great view of the Waterfront grounds. They provided my wife, Maribeth, with a comfortable cot(bed) to sleep on in my room. I would say the nursing staff and aides were friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. I couldn’t have asked for a better crew to care for me through my 82 days here. Dr. Womack and his 4 nurse practitioners worked very hard to get my BP under control. They were also very knowledgeable about my therapy needs.<br><br>I have to say the experience I have had was outstanding!! In many ways it’s hard to leave the GREAT THERAPY AND SUPPORT STAFF we have had here at the Center at the Waterfront. They have done their best to prepare us to go home to out patient therapy. They have provided great guidance to prepare us to go home safely. If you are looking for outstanding therapy this is the place to be.
