This place was a joke. One star would be too much of a rating. I had to get my mom out of there quick. Went there for rehab but was always in the bed and limited supplies to assist with transfers (e.g. walker). I had to get my mom up out of bed everytime I visited and at times she’d be soaked because she was instructed to just urinate on herself and they’d change her. -0/10 wouldn’t recommend.

My family member was admitted to Cedarbrook Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Myers after suffering a stroke and requires significant medical care, including tube feedings and assistance with hygiene and daily living. During multiple visits over several days, our family observed several concerning issues with her care. There were instances where physician-ordered tube feedings were not administered according to the prescribed schedule, and there were occasions where she was left in urine and feces for extended periods before receiving assistance. Staff members also informed us that the facility was short-staffed. While staffing shortages may occur, residents in skilled nursing facilities still require timely care and supervision, especially those with serious medical conditions. Our family member has also experienced falls from her bed since being admitted, which was extremely alarming given her recent stroke and neurological complications. If you have a loved one here, I strongly encourage you to visit often and stay actively involved in their care. Unfortunately, based on what our family has witnessed, I would not feel comfortable trusting this facility with the care of someone I love.

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star this place is horrible. They didn't take good care of my mom she was scared the whole time she was there. She ended up being sent to the emergency room where they had to intubate her and she passed away the next day. Please don't send your love ones there.

Neglect and Poor Care — Please Be Cautious Don’t be fooled by Cedarbrook’s appearance the care is severely lacking. The caretakers are not friendly or engaged, and it’s clear many of them don’t enjoy their work, which unfortunately shows in the way residents are treated. My brother-in-law was neglected, his room was always dirty, clothes always dirty or left in laundry with me tracking down, and the entire wing smelled of urine. He developed a terrible rash that staff didn’t even notice until I brought it to their attention. Staff never returned calls unless it was about money. I shared my concerns multiple times with no follow-up or improvement. If your loved one doesn’t have someone constantly advocating for them, they will be overlooked. Cedarbrook was a huge disappointment, and I cannot recommend it.
