RUN FROM THIS PLACE!!! I would give them zero stars if available. While in their care for physical rehab my mom had a full on stroke and they did NOTHING except test for a UTI and when it came back negative had the nerve to tell me medically she was fine. She now has permanent brain damage. On top of that i never noticed any activities, just a bunch of people sitting outside in wheelchairs on their own. My mom was there for pt which she got about 5 hours a week and spent the rest of the entire time laying in a bed.

I was very disappointed with the care provided at this rehabilitation center. Communication between staff, patients, and families was often poor, making it difficult to get updates or have concerns addressed. Response times to call lights were frequently delayed, and there seemed to be a lack of coordination among caregivers. My brother waited 4 hours and the had to call me at home to tell me no one would help him to the restroom. And I had to call from the outside to get a hold of someone and finally when they answered me it was a hour later. My brother got a bad bed sore because of this facility. The Nurses in Management would ignore your concerns. While some staff members were kind and hardworking, the overall quality of care did not meet expectations. The facility appeared understaffed, which affected both patient care and attention to individual needs. Rehabilitation services were inconsistent, and progress goals were not clearly communicated. I would encourage management to focus on improving staffing levels, communication, and patient-centered care.

4/24/26 - 9 pm My husband was admitted 2 hours ago. No one has spoken to him about the facility, what they can & can't do. They only offered him a peanut butter sandwich & water since he missed dinner. They have yet to put his ID bracelet on. It's laying on a table. He's helpless & can't move without help, like using the restroom. But no one has been around to help. His TV doesn't work. No one has discussed his medications, especially the pain meds. He had an 8 hour extensive back surgery 10 days ago. And he's 69. I consider this kind of treatment elder abuse. He didn't get to the facility until after 6. There is no one taking responsibility when I called. I was told to call back tomorrow. That's not acceptable. Now they won't answer the phone. I feel helpless! My husband is being mistreated. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY. IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!

Nurse Amber Allred was the best. The ladies at the front desk were also great. Unfortunately the care was horrible. The light would go on for care and it took forever for it to come. The food was disgusting. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. My son had to go to the bathroom in his bed and he had to seat in it forever. I will not recommend you to my family or friends. The worst thing is that we had to complain to everyone about their job.

IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO RATING I WOULD!!! I WOULD NEVER EVER SEND MY LOVED ONE TO CATALINA POST ACUTE! THIS PLACES NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! I would strongly advise against sending your loved ones to Catalina Post Acute Rehabilitation. Our experience with this facility has been nothing short of disappointing, and we regret choosing this place for my family member's care for physically therapy. From the minute my loved one was transferred and we walked through the front doors I told my dad he wasn’t staying here and we are going to get him out of there and WE DID! The staff from the top to bottom was horrible. No sense of care in the world. There was no sense of urgency and lack of attention to the residents' needs. My loved one was frequently left waiting for assistance, and the delays in care became increasingly concerning. No service skills whatsoever. They need to train their staff on professionalism. They were so rude when talking to us. Even as simple as asking for a pillow or using the words excuse me, can I get through no they would say “I need you to move”. Staff there are very rude. Additionally, the cleanliness of the facility was disgustingly and very unappealing. From the minute you walked into the facility it reeked like urine and feces. As you walked through the halls there were bags of trash and again smelled so unsanitary. The rooms were so dirty. My loved one was placed in a 3 patient room in a small enclosed space. Walls were dirty, holes in the walls, bed was broken, the nurses/CNA were very unsanitary with patients. Using the same gloves with different patients or no gloves at all. I never saw any staff use hand sanitizer leaving patients rooms. And when they would come in they would never introduce themselves we always had to ask who they are. Also what was very upsetting was they didn’t even know why my father was there for. The night nurse Ky told us “I take good care of my patients, I came in every hour and make sure they are still breathing” UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Once she said that we did not leave our loved one alone for one second while he was there. From what I observed the patients at Catalina are looked at as if they vegetables just waiting to go. The staff does not care AT ALL!!! The overall experience was extremely frustrating and disheartening. For the well-being of your loved ones, I would recommend seeking alternatives with better staffing, care standards, and overall professionalism. Do your research and choose a place where your family member will be treated with the respect and care they deserve. Catalina Post Acute Rehabilitation is not that place.
