I was impressed by how warm and attentive the staff were during my visit. Everyone was approachable, respectful, and willing to help. The team works hard to create a caring environment, and their professionalism and compassion really stood out to me.

My father stayed here for two weeks and was discharged because he punched a worker in the face. Mind you he has severe dementia and you can’t hold anything against him. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

If you care about your loved one DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!!<br>The staff is nice and that is all. They will not take good care of them, very untrustworthy and they will not protect your loved ones from abuse. After my mom left, she has been doing so much better. At Cascade, she would fall every month, my mom has not fell since leaving. This is an awful place for people to have to be long term.

My mother was a resident at this facility from June 2023 until she passed away on October 12, 2024. I am sharing our experience because I do not want another family to go through what we did.<br>In April 2024, my brother and I met with staff to discuss serious concerns about our mother's care and the condition of both her room and the facility. At the time, there was feces on the wall next to her bed, which we found unacceptable. We considered moving her, but because she was covered only by Medicaid, finding another facility that would accept her was extremely difficult.<br>During that meeting, staff reviewed my mother's medication list with us. We noticed that insulin and metformin were not included. When we questioned this, we were told that our mother was not diabetic, that she would show signs if she were diabetic, and that she refused to take metformin. This was deeply concerning because our mother had been diagnosed with diabetes around 2005 or 2006.<br>Years earlier, she had suffered a stroke that we believe affected her memory. Because she was no longer able to reliably manage her own medications, we placed her in assisted living and eventually memory care. We were specifically told that memory care would ensure that she received her medications properly. When she was admitted to this facility in June 2023, they had access to her medical history and information regarding the medications she had been prescribed.<br>After our meeting, we followed up again regarding her diabetic medications and were later told that she was, in fact, receiving insulin and metformin. To this day, we do not know whether she was consistently and properly medicated.<br>Our mother suffered another stroke on September 3, 2024, and passed away on October 12, 2024. We cannot say with certainty whether the care she received contributed to her decline. However, the conflicting information we were given about her medications, combined with the conditions we observed, left us with serious concerns about the quality of care provided.<br>I am sharing this experience not out of anger, but in the hope that it encourages greater accountability and prevents another family from experiencing similar concerns about the care of their loved one.
