Based on the care and experience my mother received, I’d like to give a strong recommendation to Canyon View Residential Care. This assisted living facility caters to elderly residents who are alert but need assistance for their daily needs, who have suffered from stroke, and/or who have memory related disorders such as Dementia and Alzheimer's. They also offer hospice care for residents with end of life needs. After taking care of my mother in my own home for 4 years, it became apparent that she needed more care than I could provide. Canyon View gave her that professional quality service, care and compassion which afforded my mother a sound quality of life in her golden years. One of their administrators who was there for my mother was a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of service with an extensive background in working with the elderly. Canyon View has a professional and highly trained staff that provide assisted 24 hour care and supervision, medication management and dispensing, hospice care and home health support and prepared patients for transportation to medical appointments as needed. They arrange special events for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and game nights for their residents. They maintain daily laundry and housekeeping services. They provide a full service dining experience which includes customized meals if needed, fresh home cooked meals, healthy snacks and drinks. Special diets are available by request. Daily activities and exercise are provided when possible and if applicable to the residents needs. They provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and Incontinence care. They monitor on a daily basis their resident’s health and vital signs. They assist with wheelchair transfers and walker assists. My mother received the best of care here and it didn’t take long for me to realize it was the right decision to have her transferred to Canyon View. She was always very happy to see me when I visited and that made me very happy in return. I personally want to thank Canyon View for taking such wonderful care of my mother. It was hard enough seeing my mom’s health slowly deteriorate so it was comforting knowing this moment of her life was in excellent care in the hands of wonderful people.
