I would not recommend Cambridge Rehabilitation Center.

My experience was extremely disappointing due to poor nursing care and several serious safety concerns. My mom was admitted at 6:30 pm and at 930 pm her prescribed medications were not administered as they should have been, which is unacceptable in a rehabilitation facility.

The elevators were not working, creating a significant safety issue for patients with limited mobility. Even more concerning was the lack of security. After the facility was supposedly closed, it appeared that anyone could walk in off the street without being stopped or questioned. For a facility caring for vulnerable patients, this level of unrestricted public access is alarming.

Overall, the lack of quality care, medication management, and basic safety measures made this a very negative experience. I cannot recommend this facility.

Initial experience was very bad. My wife was transported to Cambridge from Virtua Hospital, Mt. Holly to have physical therapy rehabilitation on 16 July 2026. She arrived at Cambridge around noon and by 4:00 PM had not gone to the bathroom for eight hours or more. I went to the nursing station twice seeking help to get my wife to the bathroom. When no nurse showed up after 45 minutes I managed to get by wife to the bathroom. I'm not a nurse. Facility seems severely understaffed. Aren't healthcare facilities supposed to have healthcare workers? When a nurse finally arrived, after my wife had returned to her bed, she said the problem was that I was upset (true) and not that a nurse was unavailable to provide care.
Maybe situation will improve going forward but I noticed a lack of staff throughout the facility. I assume this is some variation of private equity ownership that strips resources to maximize profit.

My mother is patient there, and although it's a better facility than most, there are areas that could use drastic improvement. The food is mediocre at best. I wish they would revamp the menu and use fresh ingredients and healthier foods. I realize everyone won't be happy with the daily menu; people are picky, but at least have real, cooked breakfast items, whole fresh eggs, and pancakes/waffles that are like cardboard. Many times my mom has received lukewarm water for her tea, and that's if she's lucky enough to get a tea bag. The littlest things make a huge difference. I appreciate all that the staff does because it's not an easy job, but please just take a little more care with the meals and daily hygienic care.
