They are negligent, and rude. It is fine to leave a patient sitting in urine and/or feces while their floors are being waxed. The director of nursing is the epitome of misery and it shows. We often pondered if her face would crack if she dared to smile. She is always angry, always and downright mean, not to mention dishonest. They lied about the help my mother received from one aide to make another aide appear more competent. I've heard the same type of story from others. Er pulled my mom out, we will never recommend them to anybody.

Debbie Ellenbarger has been amazing to my dad while being a patient at Brooksville Healthcare. She always takes time to help each of the residents and is always good about communicating with the family we as well. Brooksville Healthcare is very lucky to have her on staff.

Brooksville Healthcare Center: Deb Ellenbarger is an amazing CNA! We requested for someone to come in the room to help get Arlene Young out of bed and help change her. Mrs. Deb came right away and helped. Wonderful care, very kind, personable, and patient with her.👏 Highly highly recommend Mrs. Deb. ❤️

This place is by far the most mission-oriented facility in Hernando County. It is clear the staff there are there because they love the people they serve. It is far more than a paycheck for each and every one of them. Their food prep is some of the best institutional food I’ve eaten and the place is spotless clean and fresh. Everyone takes pride in keeping it that way. I was grateful to find this place when my mom needed physical therapy and nursing after two hospital stays. All together mom has spent about a month with them and has been well cared for each and every day.

After visiting and researching several other facilities, we chose Brooksville Healthcare Center for our loved one. We continue to be impressed at every visit. Every staff member we observe is smiling, patient, engaged and encouraging to the residents. We see needs being met with dignity and compassion. Our loved one struggles with communication following a stroke and the staff has gone out of their way to accommodate his needs. A big shout out in particular to Suzanne , the housekeeper on his wing. From day one she has worked with us to understand his condition and many times has taken the initiative to problem solve needs. Also to Kara and her activities team, there are multiple ways each day to be entertained and engaged in a variety of stimulating activities. The staff make sure the residents who wish to participate make it to the activity room as many need assistance. We see staff taking extra time to try and communicate thru notes and gestures. We visit often and have always been welcomed. The facility is spotless, the meals are varied and delicious. We could not be more pleased and wholeheartedly recommend this facility.
