This would be my grandmother’s 4th home health care company assigned to her by the neurologist, we don’t have a choice it changes every time. Brooks is far and beyond the absolute worst of them all. First off every single person shows up on time and waits outside the house for awhile, comes in and spends 30 min max then waits outside for awhile before they leave, I’m guessing bc Brooks probably tracks location and they charge hourly for 15-30 min of work. They call the morning of, not in advance when they are coming which is something no other in home health care company has done. This is inconvenient and unprofessional I should be given at least a days notice not hours notice. As far as the actual “health care”. Basically non existent. The first woman who evaluated my grandmother was snobby then the OT did an eval and she acted like she could care less, second OT lady comes does another eval and she was even worse as far as attitude and showing zero care. So at this point it’s 3 visits and no “health care” has been done aside from taking my grandmothers temp and BP. All the other in home health care companies would at least shower my nana but these OT nurses acted like it was below them. They also reevaluated her after only 1 real OT appointment, said she will keep getting care and someone will be there next week. Then the speech lady the next day tells me oh no they discharged her. Only positive is the speech pathologist was awesome, she would call in advance and showed a tremendous amount of care. Everything else was a pointless inconvenience and no one seemed to care about their job or the patient. Super unprofessional company, OT staff in particular were absolutely useless.

We used Brooks home health care for my father following a stay in the hospital. He returned repeatedly to the hospital ER and we got very little assistance from Brooks. Multiple times we called as directed before taking him to the hospital, always having to leave a message and, never getting a call back. This, despite, leaving urgent messages explaining the critical nature of the situation. In two instances, the nurses came one day and he was back in the hospital next. In one case, he had Covid and we were told he just needed some cough syrup. Do not use this home healthcare service if you expect any real help or responsiveness. Furthermore, working with their billing department has been a nightmare! Super nice folks, but just can’t seem to get things straight.

Excellent Home Health Nurses. Very professional, friendly, caring, prompt. Nurse Mary did a great job teaching me to give my husband medication through his PICC line.

Brooks is the best place I could send my wife for rehabilitation! Even the front desk people are great as well as rehabilitation.
