This is the worst place to keep your loved one. Some of the staff steal from the residents they also were giving my grandmother another residents medications. The food is horrible for the money they make. There is no working AC its been like that for months with the promise of fixing it but they lie. And all the new 5 star reviews are from the staff that work there and their family dont believe the bs 5 star reviews

I’m giving 1 star because the staff is really good at claiming NO RESPONSIBILITY! It’s taken me a year to compose my review after the treatment my mother received. IF YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER, DONT LEAVE THEM HERE! My mother was there for 5 months and it was the worst! After a sewage line break, that they lied about, 75% of her belongings were ruined and removed. NO ONE TOOK RESPONSIBILITY! They moved her several times, without any of her belongings. Continued to lie to me about the situation. I finally insisted on going into the area where the sewage line broke and I was disgusted by what I saw. There was sewage, soaked carpet, stacked in rooms, along with residents belongings. I had to go to three different piles of stuff to find her belongings and to realize that 75% of them had been thrown away. Including our family Bible. To this day, no one knows what happened to her stuff and that is not good care, if you ask me. When we insisted upon moving her out because of the health hazard, sewage soaked carpet in the building, they still insisted that we pay for the full month, even though they threw away her stuff and put her in rooms with nothing which led to her decline and ultimately her death within a few months.<br>Unless you are wanting to say goodbye forever to your loved one, do not take them to this place. You will have terrible communication with the staff, and you will constantly be seeing your loved ones clothes on someone else as they do nothing to protect the belongings of the residence. I will never recommend anybody to go to this place and I will be glad to see its door shut! If you are taking somebody there, read your agreement closely and be sure to not take anything valuable there as it will be gone in a matter of days. Eye glasses, shoes, walker. All went missing . And then the staff will give you nothing but frustration because they will lie to you about things that are missing and claim that they are not responsible.<br>Constantly having staff issues, leading to less care and neglect. Left us sitting on the patio for 40 minutes, in the heat, with no staff responding to my knocking or calling on the phone. NEGLECT! If I could sue them, I would.

Brookdale is a beautiful place. The rooms have lovely views and the common areas are spacious and organized. But what I like best about Brookdale is the staff. It was hard for my parents to leave their home, but I've seen the staff at Brookdale go above and beyond to be kind and accommodating to their special needs and interests. They have also considered and incorporated my viewpoints in care decisions. My parents have enjoyed the regular meals, daily exercise, and social activities. The staff just had a big Thanksgiving meal for residents and their families, and they went all out to make the occasion warm and festive. I'm so happy that my parents are in a place where they are safe and surrounded by compassionate caregivers.
