About BrightStar Care

BrightStar Care in Scottsdale, Arizona provides home health and hospice services. The organization is rated 4.7 out of 5 stars across 66 Google reviews.

Families consistently praise the responsiveness and quality of individual caregivers. Several families highlighted how specific aides, including Mariyah, Kotina, Leslie, Nicole, and Wendy, brought attentiveness and warmth to daily care, with one family noting that a caregiver "listens like she is one of my own daughters." Families also commended the speed of service setup and the clinical judgment of nursing staff; one family described how a nurse recognized a complex medical situation and intervened to keep a patient safe, adjusting the care plan despite the patient's initial frustration.

However, at least one family reported serious concerns about operational oversight, citing inability to verify caregiver identity and difficulty reaching management to address complaints. This single 1-star review stands in stark contrast to the five-star experiences reported by other families.

Warning- dangerous, badly run company. They could not even identify aide named Lisa I was assigned. Imagine, your private house and medical records exposed to a person the company who employees them cannot identify. I called to complain about my aide, I asked for the owner or location boss. I believe the name of who I spoke to was Christopher. The aides was named Lisa. I called him about the aide. It became obvious to both of us, he was thinking about another Lisa. I gave him a description of her appearance which shows how poor their record keeping and management is. He should have access to my account and know the aide that was in my house. I ask him to please call back with identification of who was in my house, Despite promises, he would locate the information , he never did call back. I am a judgement free person. The aide was quite rotund which prevented har from being able to fulfill duties that her company said they provided. She had very significant problems walking and bending. On an 80 degree day, she stated it was too hot to walk my dog. I asked her to spot clean a couple places on the tiles floors. She could not bend well and did a half ass job. She was bad about following easy directions and retaining the next task.

I love Mariyah B and how she helps me around in my garden. She is sweet and she listens like she is one of my own daughters. I can't say enough about her. Kotina is like my very own sister. She takes a very special place in my heart. When she walked in I knew we couldn't part ways. Kotina helps in the garden and she can't believe the growth. Leslie is my baby. She is quiet but very thoughtful in everything she does. She is so beautiful inside and out. Leslie can't believe the garden when we get out there. All together these women make a masterpiece of what we need at Brightstar to be cared for. Shot out to Jessica and Christopher for putting together this team. Because teamwork makes the Dream Work!!!

Bright Star was so easily to work with. I needed to set up care for mom from another state and the nurse evaluator was at my mom’s apartment the next day and able to start caregiver service the following. yriscia and Jessica were the staff I dealt with on the phone and both excellent. My mom particularly liked Randy and Wendy the caregivers. Highly recommend.

Nicole has been our caregiver since January 6. Let’s just say we are very pleased. She is always on time and quickly learned what we need to care for my husband who has MS. She is a perfect fit for our family and we hope to have a long relationship.

We couldn’t be more grateful for BrightStar Care in Scottsdale. My dad was hospitalized and referred for home health care to give himself IV infusions. When his nurse, Laurie arrived, she soon realized it was much too complicated and unsafe for him to do it himself. My dad was quite upset, but Laurie's gentle demeanor made him feel so much better. Even though it was Friday night and insurance offices were already closed, Laurie went above and beyond — contacting her office and working with the infusion pharmacy to obtain approval for more nursing visits so my dad wouldn’t miss his medication. Christopher at BrightStar instrumental in organizing a schedule for the next 10 days and helped us work through the insurance details. Every nurse who has visited has been punctual, kind, knowledgeable, and gentle. No one likes to need nursing care—it's daunting and scary. but if you do need it, I can’t recommend BrightStar enough. Their assurance, compassion, communication, and professionalism made all the difference for our family.
