Brightstar has provided excellent service to my 94 year old dad. Melissa, his nurse, is very good with him and immediately contacts me with any issues. The office also contacts me weekly with scheduling and care input. I couldn't ask for a better team to help my dad.

I want to give a shout out and 2 thumbs up for nurse Kam. I have an open wound that required in home services. Kam is very professional and knowledgeable. I had many nurses during the few months I needed care and she was by far the best. I think the company knows what an asset she is because she started having new nurses ride along with her. Please give her a raise because she deserves it! Thank you so much Kam!

I hired Brightstar after another home healthcare company failed to show up to Care for me on a day of surgery. Leaving me to take a lift to surgery and a friend scrambling to pick me up postop. My first experience was with caregiver Spring. She was great. She got me to my appointment and home safely. Then came my colonoscopy/endoscopy procedure. Brightstar not only had to last minute change and find a another caregiver because the surgery center suddenly moved my surgery up the day before with very little notice and Brightstar was incredibly accommodating. They found me another caregiver and made sure I had someone to drive and take care of me. The surgery center was an absolute mess. I was struggling with some medical issues which they did not care about. The surgery center put me at risk and would not help me. If it wasn’t for Bethany, my caregiver I would not have had anyone to help me fill out my paperwork or stay with me in a room where I did not feel safe waiting for my procedure. She was supportive, kind, compassionate, and went above and beyond, and I cannot thank her enough! Specially, under the circumstances where I was not seen or properly cared for by the facility and their staff, which was highly unprofessional. She attempted to advocate for me and get me the help I needed. She was ignored as much as I was. She helped me get a meal afterwards so I had something to eat and she made sure I was safe to be alone when she dropped me off and was willing to stay longer if she needed to. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t know how I would’ve gone through that day and it would not have been safe without her. It was also nice to have somebody attempt to advocate for me at a surgical center that did not care about me as a human being at all, but she did. Thank you to all at Brightstar Care!

I worked with BrightStar Care and had a great experience with the team. Jessica was always professional, organized, and helpful with communication and scheduling. They made sure caregivers felt supported and that clients received quality care. I appreciate the time I spent working with the company. 10/10!!

I would not recommend this company. My wife required home health care for a PICC line and an external fixator, which meant regular visits for IV infusions and pin care. I understand that complications can happen in healthcare, and we tried to be patient when issues arose. However, the situation that ultimately led to this one-star review was a serious error made during a PICC line dressing change. The nurse kinked the line, and when we contacted the company about correcting the mistake, they refused to send someone back to fix it. Instead, we were told to take her to the ER. This was the second ER visit in one week caused by their mistake. What was most frustrating was the lack of accountability. Rather than correcting an error made in our home, they chose to disrupt our lives and send us to the emergency room. When a company is responsible for someone’s care and safety, that level of responsibility should matter. We also used their home health aide service for assistance around the house. Unfortunately, the aide often appeared more interested in watching TV than helping. At one point, instead of taking the trash to the bin (because it wasn’t directly in front of the house), the trash was simply left in the backyard — which defeats the purpose when the patient cannot walk to do it themselves. After seven weeks of working with this company, the consistent impression we received was that this was simply a paycheck for most of the staff we encountered. Out of everyone we met, only one nurse demonstrated the level of care and professionalism you would expect from a healthcare provider. For a company responsible for home health and patient safety, that experience was extremely disappointing.
