First of all this young girl Brandi Wohletz had such an attitude problem. She was so rude interrupting and rolling her eyes. I even watched her threaten a couple of the other residence. I will never go back to that place!!!

We've used Brewster urgent care for a few years now and they were always great in all areas! Unfortunately, I believe they are under new ownership, covid has then overwhelmed, and possibly a new computer system as they said they had none of my information after I arrived. Communication, compassion, common courtesy, & basic customer service skills were extremely lacking (to the point I came in 3 times before getting firm and stating how disappointed and sad I felt it was that they were a medical facility yet had no one to help those struggling/ disabled... had insisted I go to my car bc of covid and fill out a registration sent to my phone for this appointment (I was wearing 2 masks). I definitely felt like a number not a consumer (especially bc I called in advance and was never told they'd need all this filled out electronically, or that I'd need to wait in my freezing car until I was called via phone), and was told they could refer me to an orthopedic doc to do further testing if necessary, but needed to see urgent care first. Upon arrival(with head/neck injuries/pain and permanent TBI disabilities)I was told I'd be sent a registration text to my phone to fill out, then I was sent out to my car with a dying phone and no heat in the car where I had to electronically fill out a form, and wait to be called. (I informed the front desk woman I struggle with thought process, decisions, processing and time, that my phone was dying, I had no charger, and no heat in my car.) It was then she said I could fill out this and she handed me a paper form (again, a struggle for me without assistance due to repeat TBIs). I went out to my car holding back tears in order to complete all information they should've had on me and my son from recent visits, but didn't. It wasn't until I came back in the 2nd or 3rd time very embarrassed, cold, and upset and told her (in tears and with firm, slightly raised voice) that "I needed help. I couldn't complete it online bc after 5 times of the registration kicking me out at the end, my phone died"... and I had to reiterate that they couldn't call me for my turn bc my phone was dead). She finally said I could "wait inside since no one was on that side" (although many were on the other side). The 1st nurse was very kind, although had nothing to go off of, and couldn't enter my complete history as it would've taken hours, and my phone (which was dead). My understanding was they were linked with KU med in KC, but they aren't, as they can't access the epic system they use, which has ALL of the information they wanted. The location name is KU @ Brewster Place, but my understanding is that the non urgent care side is actually connected with KU MED, but the urgent care was bought out by someone else. Honestly IDK, it's just what I was told by another employee that day, but I feel it's misleading. When I tried clarifying, the nurses couldn't even explain it. Later there was lack of communication from the nurse doing the x-rays and the orders, again unable to answer my questions, stating the doc or PA could tell me... (although they never returned to the room). A completely different nurse brought me papers and sent me on my way. I questioned an MRI or concern for brain bleed caused by my concussion due to the increased pain/pressure (bc it's been routine for the 10 others I've had), but she said they don't do that, and wasn't concerned. Based on neck x-ray (despite neck pain, severe ear and head pain, and a referral from a reputable PT rehabilitation due to concern for new indenting and movement in the neck and severe increasing head, ear, jaw pain.) I came to them bc pain was severe and had increased since my injury, and my doctor wanted me to, yet their discharge paper said "return if worsening symptoms", my reason for this. I really hope this is all due to a current transition and things will smooth out, but I do wish I had just gone to the hospital rather than waste from approximately 1pm-6pm getting no where. I don't believe I'll be returning for some time, if at all.
