Bourbon Heights Nursing Home is a non-profit facility in Paris, Kentucky that offers skilled nursing, intermediate care, personal care, adult day health services, outpatient rehabilitation, and independent living apartments to residents of Bourbon County and surrounding areas.
The facility partners with Bourbon County physicians to allow residents to maintain their existing doctors while receiving care. Dr. Stephen Besson serves as Medical Director, overseeing patient care. Inpatient rehabilitation stays range from a few days up to 100 days depending on insurance and individual needs, with therapy services provided by Functional Pathways including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
The Joseph Allen Adult Day Health Center provides programming for adults age 21 and older who are aged or disabled. Open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the center offers socialization, activities, nutritional meals and snacks, and medical services under the direction of nursing staff. The facility also provides respite and supportive care for family caregivers at reasonable cost for those who cannot safely remain home alone during work hours.
The community features an on-site country chapel that serves as a quiet reflection space and hosts church services on Tuesday mornings. Gospel groups perform in the chapel, and it has hosted weddings, funerals, and an annual memorial service.
