My husband is a patient/client at Biltmore Assisted Living facility and I am very pleased with the quality of care that he has received while a resident. My husband suffers from dementia. The director of the facility, Traci Victor, has given me access to her phone number, and the communication is great. She prefers communication via texting, as it allows for faster response time. The facility is on the smaller side, with 10 residents calling the property home. However, because of the smaller patient size, it allows for a more favorable patient to staff ratio. The kitchen is an open concept adjacent to the main game/TV room. The food is prepared daily, and is high-quality and nutritious. The portions may appear small, but the residents are mostly elderly, and that fits with their lifestyle. My husband has his own private room with an accompanying bathroom (consisting of a toilet and sink) attached. The shower is across the hall, which is appropriate for safety and assistance. There is a very nice “sun room” facing a large back yard. I have seen residents enjoying said room, and meals are done with socialization with other residents. My husband prefers his meals to be served on the couch in front of the main TV using a table with wheels. Medications are coordinated and dispensed. I feel blessed to have Dr. Talisa Adkinson, MD, reviewing his needs monthly. She is truly a saint and spent at least thirty minutes interviewing him. Her office staff is also exemplary. If I need to call, someone will pick up, which is convenient for me, as I reside out of state. Dr. Adkinson will either respond herself, or direct staff of her intentions. Doctor is the physician for most of the other residents. Holidays are festive, and Traci has the facility decorated to reflect the season. Traci has given special interest to my husband during Christmas and his birthday. He is a fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team, and she was thoughtful enough to gift him a hat of said franchise for his birthday. He has spoken of this gift frequently, and it gives him much comfort and pleasure. This is of much amazement on my part due to his dementia and short term memory loss. I highly recommend Biltmore Assisted Living for loved ones who are experiencing issues with memory loss and cognitive decline. The facility is a thorough, safe and a clean environment. They have performed a difficult job to a high standard.

Biltmore Assisted Living has truly been a blessing for our family. From the very beginning, we felt the love, compassion, and care that goes into everything they do. It’s clear that this isn’t just a job for the staff here they genuinely care about the residents and treat them like family. The caregivers are attentive, patient, and kind, and it brings so much peace knowing our loved one is in a safe, nurturing environment. The home always feels warm and welcoming, the meals are thoughtful and comforting, and the way they celebrate holidays and special moments really makes it feel like a true home, not just a facility. Traci and the entire team go above and beyond, and their hearts shine through in the care they provide every single day. We are incredibly grateful for the love, respect, and dignity they show our loved one, and for the reassurance they give our family. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be cared for with genuine compassion and treated like family, Biltmore Assisted Living is truly something special.

I moved my mother into this care home in July 2024, where she stayed for about two months. While I believe the caregivers genuinely care for the residents, the facility was not adequately equipped to manage higher levels of care, despite initially stating they could. Most residents seemed either quite independent or were on hospice care, spending much of their time in bed.
Our primary concern was the lack of support at night, which was clearly outlined in the Residence Agreement (staff was to do rounds and check on residents every two hours). However, my mother was often not checked on from 7 PM until 6 or 7 AM the next morning. When I raised this with Traci (Home Manager/Day Caregiver), she admitted that Junior (Night Caregiver) sometimes slept through the night and missed assisting my mother with basic needs like going to the bathroom.
After discussing the issue with Traci and Linda (Day Caregivers), we agreed to allow a month for adjustments and increased care as per the agreement. Unfortunately, no improvements were made. My mother continued to complain vocally to the caregivers. We began the grievance process, as outlined in the Residence Agreement and AZ state guidelines. When we submitted our concerns in writing, Traci became defensive, and Mike (Owner) threatened to raise the rent or evict my mother—actions that contradicted the terms of our agreement.
As the grievance process unfolded, the caregivers' attitudes toward my mother noticeably changed, which was deeply concerning. With support from Hospice of the Valley, we moved my mother to a new facility two weeks later, where she has been much better cared for.
Positives:
⦁ Homemade, nutritious food.
⦁ Clean and well-maintained facility.
⦁ Caregivers seemed to genuinely care for the residents.
Negatives:
⦁ Caregivers appeared overworked and stretched thin.
⦁ The owner seemed more focused on sales than resident care.
⦁ The facility was unresponsive to constructive feedback.
Ultimately, our experience was disappointing, as the home did not provide the level of care we were promised, paid for or expected, leading to concerns of neglect.
