Bella Vista has been such a positive place for our dad and for our entire family. The team there is amazing, kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. One of the best parts has been seeing Dad build friendships again. He loves playing cards with his friends and spending time with everyone there. We also really appreciate the holiday events they host for families. They create such a warm community atmosphere, and it gives us meaningful time together across generations. The park across the street is another huge bonus because the grandkids can play while we visit. Dad always says, “They cook and clean for me, and I have friends to spend time with.” Hearing him say he loves living there gives our family so much comfort and peace of mind. We’re very grateful for the care and happiness Bella Vista has brought into this chapter of his life.

I haven’t been here quite a year yet, but my time here has been very positive! One of my favorite things is the fact that Menominee park and zoo is right across the street! I go there when the weather is nice every day just to sit by the water and read my book and just stare at the water or watch the geese, which were many! It was so much fun! The zoo is small, but they have so many animals there and it’s fun to see them all! Bella Vista you can always find something to do whether it’s playing bingo or card games or exercise class etc. There’s always a reason to stay active and busy. They have a bus and they take you shopping and to different places of interest to see, which is always fun to do! What I enjoy is the fact you have 2 choices for meals!! They have a very hard-working caregiver staff, as they truly care about us residents!! I am glad without a doubt that I decided to come to Bella Vista because where I was before was so much worse!! Bella Vista has their challenges they need to work on, but then doesn’t every place? But I can honestly say I consider Bella Vista Home!!

I have a long history with Bella Vista in Oshkosh. My Mom lived there in both the RCAC apartments and in the CBRF floor. She passed away 8 years ago, but her time at Bella and the care she received was very good. So good, that in my families time of need recently for my sister, I turned to them again. She was living independently but could not manage her T1 diabetes and live on her own any longer, she needed more care. Working with Community Care (LTC) and Bella Vista (Rebecca Groleau, Lori DeWitz, and Wendy Eggers) we were able to move her into a beautiful RCAC apartment quickly. The entire staff made us feel at home and comfortable immediately. Sadly, my sister had a heart attack the first week there. The CNA and night crew aids got her the emergency services she needed quickly. While she was in the hospital, the even made sure that her cat was being cared for! All my sister wanted to do was to return to her "home". She loved it and the people even being there for just a short time. A few weeks later she had another incident with more serious consequences. After 10 days in hospital, she just wanted to go back to Bella. Wendy was instrumental in getting her set up for hospice b4 the hospital would release her, she worked with us to ensure my sisters meds were correct, she went above and beyond to ensure my sisters comfort. Sadly, she passed away a short time later. And here again, Rebecca, Wendy, the entire staff at Bella pitched in to help our family cope. In her short stay there, they all quickly became family. I hope when I need a place to go, they are all still there .. because that's where I'm going!

We cannot get our dad our of Bella Vista anymore. So we ask if they let residents family come in and have dinner with there loved ones. They had the table all decorated for us.a group of 12. Served all the Thanksgiving fixing right down to the deserts and drinks. We a would like to say Thank You Bella Vista for going out of your way to made us feel welcome. It was wonderful for us to spend time together with our dad.
