I do not know whether or not the national office is aware of how things are run in the Commonwealth of Virginia. However, if they were, I think they would be aghast. Not only did they abandon our child to a mental institution against his and our will, they also charged us for time where he was in the mental institution. Unfortunately, they are able to get away with it due to a contractual technicality. I would not be able to look myself in the mirror and charge a family that I have failed so egregiously. Even while he was staying at their group home, he was malnourished, and his hygiene was not handled properly. The silver lining is that he is no longer under Beacon’s “care”. We will pay the almost $850 and look at it as the cost of getting as far away from this terrible company as possible.

This is to beacon ceo thank you for everything your company has done for me. It has helped me succeed and i believe in the second chances and thank you to kim howard roman and nicole vanNiman and for everything this company has helped me i would refer people to recovery there fear in life i been working on my goals and talk about problems in life i been dealing with passing of family members and this company has helped me and they was there for me thank you for everything you guys do to help me i would love to meet you someday to tell you more about staff and managers that helped me Sincerely Shane Gashaw

My sister is in a Pennsylvania facility and the quality of care is poor. Incidents reports are not filled, staff members lie, no exercise and no swimming is provided, mice feces(droppings) in her room. They are given mostly pre processed unhealthy food. Questions go unanswered or ignored. It would not allow me to give 0 stars in rating so I had to give 1.

Since I've been part of Beacon, it has transformed me, my individuals, my coworkers and my workplace. It has made an impact to help us build and functionalize our home by providing us new techniques, getting support and the best care to our individuals. I work with an outstanding group of people at Beacon! We work collaboratively to brainstorm new ideas, evaluate current programs and systems, and problem solve challenges. Our focus is on helping each client learn and grow to live his or her best life. I have had opportunities to help start several new programs to support some individuals with challenging needs, seeing them living successfully in these settings makes me proud to be a part of the team that made that possible. My job is full of challenges, but the rewards of watching both clients and staff grow and develop new skills makes it all worth it.
