Bayside Elderly Housing

Bayside Elderly Housing is an independent living community in San Francisco, California, developed through a partnership between Chinatown CDC, the Mayor's Office of Housing, and the San Francisco Housing Authority. The building was constructed on a surface parking lot at the North Ping Yuen public housing project and is designed specifically for elderly and disabled persons, as well as families who qualify for rental assistance under HUD's Section 8 program for Very Low Income Families.

The community features a single-story parking garage with three stories of housing above it, providing residents with convenient vehicle access. A community room is available and actively utilized by residents for gathering and programs.

Chinatown CDC, the development partner, manages a portfolio of 38 properties throughout San Francisco neighborhoods and provides affordable housing to over 5,000 San Franciscans, including low-income families, adults, and seniors across the city.
