My Dad recently spent 10 days at Bangs for rehab, and I cannot say enough good things about the care he received. Every care provider that we came into contact with was so kind and helpful to him, and they worked with him on his PT and OT to help him have a successful return home. The food was all homemade and good quality, and helped him to regain his strength. It made all the difference to him being in a smaller, clean facility that truly cares for its residents, and I am so thankful for the excellent care that he received!

This is my first and will be my last time to be in the Bang's Nursing home.im here for rehab and the place smells they spray Lysol disinfectant spray all over the place knowing that I'm on an inhaler and am allergic to anything with aerosol in it.i constantly taste and smell the aerosol not to mention have to breathe it in because there is (1) absolutely no privacy. (2) They will not let the door be closed.(3) They keep the room so bright that it's almost impossible to fall asleep (4) It takes them days to get all your meds ordered so the longer you are there the longer you are off your regular meds.(5) Your run out of your room because your in a room with another person so they can visit weather you are not feeling good wanting a nap or sick at your stomach because you are forced to breathe aerosol that you are allergic to

Bangs Nursing and Rehab is such a blessing! I receive meals on wheels from them and their food is always amazing with great taste. I've worked at plenty of nursing homes and home health places in the past and never had or seen food this tasty. Not only is the food delicious and hot, but the department heads that deliver the meals are always extremely friendly and helpful with a smile on their face every time. They even deliver on holidays (which no other place does) receiving meals on christmas day, new years day, 4th of july etc. Deparment heads are normally off work for holidays but still put us first and that says more than words can. If I ever need to live in a nursing home, this will definitely be my first choice. Thank you for your many blessings and God bless each and every one of you.

This is my first time visiting Bangs Nursing Home. My grandmother has been placed here for a short time. Coming from a medical professional myself, This is one of the WORST smelling nursing homes I’ve ever been in, the nursing staff have terrible body odor, dirty floors, I don’t know who Jeffrey is here but he must be a fan favorite because they yell at him, from what I’ve seen about sanitary and cleanliness here, please take your loved one some where else.

The small nursing facility is a Brown County hidden gem for healthcare. I am not an employee at Bangs nursing home but do visit several clients 1-2x month for case management reasons. Bangs nursing home has a rare & homey culture that is not common in many facilities. At first step into the building, you are greeted kindly by staff and the residents sitting in the common areas waive and greet everyone too. Staff are visible, knowledgeable about their residents and accommodating to answer questions or concerns on the spot. You don't have to walk the halls looking for an employee, they find you first! Yes, the rooms are smaller than average, but the courtyard is a pleasant experience *** they have egg laying chickens. When you pull out of the parking lot to head to your next destination, you get a feeling that you just left a big family community who welcomed you into their world for a few minutes and a sense of peace knowing the residents are loved.
