this place is absolutely amazing i've been in there multiple times, all the residents always have a smile on their faces. the staff works overtime trying to meet all the residents needs throughout the day and definitely overwork to make sure that everything is safe, happy, comfortable and healthy. I seen that long disgusting review that’s very much untrue information. I’m sure whoever wrote that review was upset about something that had absolutely nothing to do with any residents living there. I would just like to say if you want your family or any senior living living there that is a good place to go. again, all of the staff are very polite people and here to work for the community. Everybody’s just trying to survive like everybody else don’t write nasty post unless it’s true Baldwin House Senior living is a very great place for the last days of your family members.

These high reviews are hilarious and obviously not made by the residents. We kid people to come here if you want to be miserable, depressed and out of money. They CLAIM they have activities but no one directs them and they are generally boring. Have something that needs repair? Forget it. No one seems to oversee anything getting done here. MANY of us have complained about the boiler system and overall things needing repairs. Months and months later, still no screen doors fixed or replaced. From what this writer has been told. This place was built in the 1970's, but only a select FEW have been updated. There is a mousetrap in our hallway with 2 decomposed dead mice. I'm told it has been there for nearly a year?
About the screens, we hate to open the screen door because of the loud noise and exhaust fumes from Dragway Edgewood Blvd and the highway. The apartments are dangerously small with OLD cabinetry and flooring. It's a very outdated facility and the staff and owners don't seem to care. If you need medical care. Don't depend on Great Lakes Medical Group. They hire incompetent and lazy girls who spend MOST of the nights sleeping, talking on the phone, watching TV so loud the residents can't hear the community TV. HAVE an emergency? You might as well call 9-1-1 or bleed to death.
If you get talked into any of the expensive services like shower assistance or their useless, help with laundry, getting routine blood pressure checks, just know they will dig you for $100 for each item and if you want to stop the services you must give 30 day written notice or you pay for another month even if you don't use the services. If you have a Guardian or Power of Attorney, EVERYTHING you say and do will be told to them and you basically have no rights, no matter how harmfully you are being treated. It's a boring and LOUD place to live with all the road and highway traffic that the cheap sliding doors don't block out. If you like an 88-90 degree apartment in the Winter, you will get it whether you like it or not as they have NO idea how to regulate it. The ambulance is here at least once a week from all the stress. If you are a daughter or son who wishes their parent's live out their lives in sadness, then this place is for you.

As far as the ratings for this place they must have deleted 3/4 of the comments and ratings.
When they change personnel here it usually isn't for the better and only for the cheaper and less experienced. Most of the staff speak SO loud the halls vibrate.

You are paying EXORBITANT RENT FOR NOTHING SPECIAL, JUST A PLACE TO DIE SADLY. As far as memory care-- that's a big fat laugh.
Yes they have free washer and dryers, but half of them are barely working and usually out of order. The above is written from the view of several residents sadly watching the last years of their drag by.

CHEAP MATERIALS, Would BE A BETTER name for this place. The a/C's are so cheap and loud you can't hear the TV. We tried very hard to think of some positive comments, but they elude me. Been waiting a year for the computer in the library to be up and running. But not one single staff seems to know, so why is it there?

As Queen Victoria would say:WE ARE NOT AMUSED.
There is no computer clinic, no hot tub, swimming pool or Anything else, so why are they so expensive?????
