I'll admit, when I first heard they were putting my grandpa in a nursing home I was very scared, but now I truly believe that Avir at Bay City was the best place for him. Erika and Felix are two amazing workers. They are always busy, but at the same time never too busy to attend to the patient's needs. They will literally drop everything they are doing to come help. My grandpa left Avir in a much better condition than he was in when he admitted all thanks to the great nursing staff and the amazing therapy team

This facility is great! Beginning with the super easy admission process Kristy provides, the great care from the staff and super fun Activities provided. Always super clean!

Although our mother was only there for a short time, I saw a lot of caring and hard working staff here. Kristy was so warm and welcoming it made us feel very comfortable with the decision from the start. All of the staff was helpful and always busy doing their work. One instance worth sharing is the fact that I had a piece of artwork that our daughter wanted to leave for her Grandmother who was in Hospice care. I could not find a spot to hang it and so I left it in a stack of paperwork on the night stand next to our mother. We left for the weekend and when we came back some staff member actually took the time to put that drawing on the wall, using medical tape. That's an attention to detail that many would not go out of their way to take care of. So you can see if they take that level of caring and empathy with something as small as a drawing.....you can imagine how they care for your loved one. The facilty itself is renovated and looked exceptional. This facility came recommended by our hospice provider and I can see why. We had a wonderful experience with Avir.

Don't in any shape and form bring a loved one here. The Staff won't listen or entertain the idea that something is wrong with the patient. They are not equipped for taking care of people. Husband kept falling out of bed and then got screamed at. Food is ice cold! And on top of that he didn't receive a meal and he had to wait till the next day.

Beautiful recently renovated building. Under new management so the staff is excellent!
