The new leadership at Aventura at Pembrooke has been truly transformative to the overall experience. Their dedication, communication, and hands-on approach have created a more positive and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff. The nurses and nursing assistants are compassionate, attentive, and hardworking, and the stronger leadership has helped bring even more teamwork and consistency throughout the facility.

ZERO STARS!! Poor medical care. Understaffed. Not attentive. There’s always a resident in the hallway waiting for a transport. I waited 1hr for my visit due to a wait on a transport. Impatient with residents. “What you need?” Is how they come to the room after being called on. So unprofessional. Residents rooms aren’t being kept clean. Dirty dishes. Wound care isn’t prioritized!! Weak communication skills; especially when switching shifts. Nasty attitudes and horrible work ethics. TODAY 3/28/26 around 12:30pm I had a aide/nurse named Jasmin (who’s pregnant) tell me “well you come do it” while I was on a call with a current resident expressing how they were laying flat for hours and that they wanted to be propped up with pillows due to their bed being broken. With their condition it’s impossible for them to adjust their position on their own and they had them wait over 40mins. I am so overwhelmed with this place. I wouldn’t recommend anyone here!!

As a family member, I have to say our experience during admission at Aventura Pembroke was very upsetting. We arrived already feeling anxious about placing our mom in a nursing home, and it was incredibly disappointing that no one from administration came to greet us or explain what to expect. It made us feel overlooked and added stress to an already emotional situation. The only person who took the time to help us was the nurse taking care of our mom who was clearly very busy. Despite that she made a real effort to talk with us and walk us through the process. She was polite, patient, and understanding of our frustrations. She mentioned that even all though she is an agency nurse she does work here regularly, which honestly gave us some relief knowing there would be at least one familiar face around. Families should not feel ignored during such an important and emotional transition.
