Extremely Disappointing and Unsafe Experience!<br><br>I cannot recommend this facility based on my family’s experience. A family member of mine was discharged without the proper safety precautions or discharge protocols that should be standard for any rehabilitation facility. They were sent home without the necessary medical equipment needed for a safe transition, and staff simply stated that they “did place an order”, when in fact they did not. That is not an acceptable response when a patient’s health and safety are at risk.<br><br>A rehabilitation center has a responsibility to ensure patients are discharged safely and with the equipment, instructions, and support necessary to prevent complications or injury. Failing to provide appropriate medical equipment or make suitable discharge arrangements demonstrates a serious lack of preparation and concern for patient well-being.<br><br>Beyond the discharge process, the condition of the facility itself was alarming. The building appears outdated and poorly maintained. There were signs of mold, worn and aging furniture throughout the facility, and even dead insects visible in patient areas. The environment did not reflect the level of cleanliness or professionalism that patients and their families should expect from a healthcare provider.<br><br>Overall, this experience left our family deeply concerned about the quality of care, patient safety, and the facility’s standards of maintenance. Patients deserve to be treated with dignity, discharged safely, and cared for in a clean, well-maintained environment. Unfortunately, based on what we experienced, this facility fell far short of those expectations. All staff involved in this situation deserve to be terminated permanently and immediately.

If I could give this place a negative rating, I would.<br>The entire leadership (Scott in Admin, Krystal DSN, Hanna in Rehab, Social Worker, Robert and more) at this facility are utterly incompetent when it comes to patient care, management or basic needs. Their employees are unprofessional, careless, incompetent like them. When my family member was there - staff was not responsive - unable to read and follow doctors' orders (MEDICATIONS), nurses couldn't follow orders or notes, care plan meetings were always delayed, PT and OT were inconsistent (always short staffed). I could go on and on, but ultimately, due to the lack of competence my family member was admitted back to the hospital due to lack of care at Avemere. Local hospitals had nothing positive to say about this place.<br>Avoid it at all costs.

Such a bad place, I honestly dont know how they got 5 stars on any review. The employees get used and abused and left to take care of 20 residents for 1 aid. The management doesn't help when they're short staffed and neither do the nurses. So therefore the residents get neglected. Yuk, management here is absolutely clueless.

Today was absolutely impressive. I forgot to let them know what time I was coming to get my dad for an appointment. He was still up and ready to rock and roll when I got there. Infact I held things up thinking He was in the bathroom so I waited few minutes. Headed to nurses desk to get papers and there he was paper work and all. Also big appreciation to the RCC and the lady who does transportation for helping to get all this figured out and the appointments. Hugh blessing 😊
