I had such a wonderful experience with Jan, the Assistant Activity Director at Anointed Senior Living, last week when I came to visit with an friend while they were visiting there parents. She provided exceptional, phenomenal care and went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, included, and valued. Her kindness, compassion, and positive attitude truly shine through in everything she does.

Jan puts so much thought and effort into creating meaningful activities that bring joy to the residents. It's clear that she genuinely cares about each person and is dedicated to making a positive difference every day. Her professionalism, patience, and warm personality make her an incredible asset to Anointed Senior Living.

Thank you, Jan, for everything you do. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. Five stars without a doubt!

This is a review I’m truly thrilled to write. I moved my mom into Anointed Memory Care here in Austin on June 1st.
I was really nervous about moving her to a new memory care because she was used to her old place and I didn't want to upset her but we needed to find something more within our budget.
After looking at several different options, I chose Anointed, and I’m so glad I did. Elda and Rinku are wonderful. Elda is the Director, and Rinku is the Wellness Director. They’re kind, communicative, and clearly run a great facility. When I first visited, I was struck by how light, bright, and clean it is. I also noticed that all of the caregivers were engaged with the residents, and everyone seemed happy, sweet, and well cared for. I even overheard a caregiver speaking with a resident who seemed confused, the caregiver’s tone was sweet, kind, and patient. I just got a really good feeling about the place. I went back a few times before making my decision, just to be sure, and it’s been such a great choice.
Anointed is larger than other memory care facilities, but it is very well run. Honestly, my mom gets better care here than she did at her previous place, even though that facility had only 15 residents. The building is divided into four hallways with the residents’ rooms, all branching off from a large central lobby, cafeteria, TV area, and art room. There are no showers in the rooms, but each room has a bathroom with a toilet and sink, which is perfect for my mom. They also have a dedicated shower room where caregivers take each resident to shower privately and respectfully.
When I visit, my mom looks clean and well cared for. Her hair is brushed, her teeth are brushed, her brief is clean! My mom’s room is kept spotless. It’s always clean, her bed is made, and her clothes are clean and put away. Everything is organized and well maintained.
I haven’t eaten any meals there yet, but I have seen the food, and it looks great.
They also have regular activities. The caregivers encourage residents to participate, but if a resident doesn’t want to, they respect that as well. I’ve seen two music performances, and they were fun. They sang old country tunes, and many residents were singing along. One woman looked like she might be asleep, then the singer started singing, “I’ve got friends in low places,” and she suddenly belted out every word. The activities director, Jan, is also fun and energetic every time I see her. She’s a rockstar, and I look forward to seeing her there when I visit mom every other day.
My mom has regular caregivers on each shift, and they genuinely seem to like their jobs. Toyosi is my mom’s main caregiver during the week, and she is pure sunshine. She’s kind and happy, and my mom absolutely loves her. This is such a refreshing change from what I was used to. These caregivers have a tough job, and the fact that they maintain that kind of joy speaks volumes about the administration. They also receive regular training on a variety of dementia-related issues, among other things.
If you move your loved one to Anointed, you won’t be disappointed. The relief I feel since June is astounding. Caring for your loved one, even when they’re in memory care and not in your home, is very difficult, but Anointed takes away some of that worry. My mom is well cared for when I’m not with her, and that truly is everything.

As a hospice nurse I am in and out of buildings frequently. This is one of my favorite buildings. The Wellness director has been there for 4 years and is very caring and attentive to patient needs. Patients in this building get great care and I recommend them to anyone.

My mother moved to Anointed 9 months ago and it was one of the best decisions our family made. The staff was so attentive and helpful with all of my mothers needs and wants. The activity director was so positive and full of energy. The activities were so fun to join or just watch as the residents joined in as best they could. The facility was always clean and safe for our mother so when I left after a visit, I knew she was in good hands.
