THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! My mother was made to go there bc she had fallen and shattered her right hip and had to have a total hip replacement and wasn't able to walk. She was admitted on a Friday evening and it was a complete nightmare from the start. She requires oxygen 24/7 and after she got there we found out that they don't have a bi pap machine so my dad had to go all the way back home to get the bipap. He forgot to grab new tubing and of course they don't have tubing so my daughter took some in. Not that big of a deal. They got her in a room told her that if she needs anything to push the call button. She did multiple times and no one came. So the sweet lady that she shared the room with got out of her bed and into her wheelchair and got to the hallway and was yelling for someone to help. No one came. Finally a nurse happened to walk by and my mom yelled and she went in the room to see what she needed. My mom told her that she had to the bathroom and the nurse said that she's not allowed to get her up but would go for help and would be right back. Over 2 hours had passed so my mom urinated on herself. Two of my daughters (who brought the tubing) changed her and the bedding. They did not get dinner until around 8pm and it was literally a scoop of dry mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and 1 piece of lettuce. The guy said that the lettuce was the protein..lol! Come to find out the call lights didn't work on that whole side of the building and there's NO phones in the rooms. She was made to urinate herself multiple times and then lay in it. Finally she asked for a walker and was told that they don't walkers either. Going into Sat the nurse put her on a bed pan and left her there for over 45 minutes. Then around 12 midnight she rolled over in her sleep and fell out of the bed bc there's NO bed rails on the bed!! She had no way to get help and no one came anywhere around her room until around 1:30 am and a nurse happened to walk by so my mom yelled out for help and the guy went back and she told him that she's sure that her hip (left) is broken and he got her back into the bed and walked out. No one called EMS or got her any help until mid morning bc they said that they didn't think it was broken and that they're not allowed to call EMS until the facility Dr approves it. I was personally going to call for an ambulance when they finally agreed that it very well might be broken and the Dr approved it. It was badly broken and possibly broke her left ankle too. So she had to have another total hip replacement. Aurora is absolutely horrible! If you love your family members and don't want them badly neglected/abused, Don't send them there PLEASE!

My aunt is at this facility & less than 2 months she now has a stage 4 open wound on her bottom that’s now affected. My family was never notified about the wound from the beginning, nor was notified that the wound has became affected. I advise you not to bring your family to this nursing home. They are neglecting the patients because no way within a short amount of time A patient should have a stage four wound on their bottom. Sometimes the facility smell like feces and urine. Now my aunt is septic and may be passing away soon due to the bed sore causing her health to get worse. One evening I was coming in to visit all the nurses and CNA were at the front door so I’m guessing who’s watching and taking care of the patients if all the workers are at the front. Someone needs to be held accountable. I’m writing this review so maybe it could help the next family

It’s always good to see all of the staff consistently working whenever I’m there visiting my uncle. I’m greeted with warm welcomes from both the staff and residents, and that says a lot about any place of business. The check-in process is very fast and easy thanks to the new technology. Great job Aurora! Keep up the good work and improvements!
