Having interviewed four different home caregivers for my 83 yo mother, Assisting Hands was clearly the best choice. Ginny and Brian immediately connected with my mother even though she had been resistant to having a “visitor” three times a week. Not only did Ginny verify that she was safe, had taken her meds and recorded her bp, she engaged Mom in meaningful conversations about Mom’s life and recently deceased husband. I know this helped her in the mourning process and also helped with her speech difficulties. As somewhat of a loner, it was great for her to have a fun person to laugh with. I completely trust Ginny with her and it was an immense relief not to have to visit her every single day, as much as I love my Mom. Ginny always offered to help with cooking, cleaning and other tasks but so far Mom has not wanted that. Assisting Hands quickly got her on their schedule, their rates are lower than most, and I especially like the care notes that Ginny provides in the portal after every visit. It was a great experience and I hope to have her start again when Mom comes home from a summer visit.

We moved my mom into our home during COVID, where caregiving was less stressful. Knowing we had to return to our standard offices became intensely stressful. Upon interviewing several home care organizations, we recognized Brian and his organization as the best fit. We had an idea of what we needed, but Brian and his team scoped out our actual needs and accommodated every request and more. They make scheduling seem easy, and their communication is excellent. They are not only knowledgeable about geriatric care, but they are also compassionate. One of my biggest fears was having random strangers coming into our home to care for one of our most beloved matriarchs and not knowing if they would care for her as we do. They do SO much more. Sylvia was excellent, and now we have Chris. My mom looks forward to her visits. The conversations are engaging, the activities are memorable, and her laughter with Chris is priceless. Brian found additional resources to help with my mom's needs; his partners are a huge blessing. Some folks can fake a smile, which I felt when interviewing other organizations - BUT not this team. Their big smiles, hugs, and time to plan activities and bring resources when they visit show they genuinely care. On the days when I feel my head is spinning, they are there to help provide the work-life balance. I am so thankful to have met Brian, his team, and his partners. My mom is a God-fearing woman, and they found a pastor equally as compassionate to pray with my mom. Many thanks to Brian and his team; my mom is loved and cared for, bringing me peace of mind. My parents had never had home health care before and they were uncertain of starting services. Brian actually came to their home and spent quality time with them assessing their needs and getting to know them. I thought this kind of attention and service was only a thing of the past! He made my parents feel comfortable and hand picked a home health aide, Ginny, who was a perfect fit for my parents. She was compassionate, positive and comfortable to be around. My sister had researched more than 50 companies before we chose Assisting Hands. This company was absolutely the right decision. I myself work in health care and I felt protective of my parents and the care they needed. Assisting Hands gained my trust quickly as I saw how competent they were. Brian and the Sun City staff have been super helpful so far in supporting my father and his partner. We are new to this process of finding in home care. Brian responded with a house call with 24 hours of starting our search. All questions were answered and he provided us with a lot of insight to the entire process and what to expect. The staff is providing a myriad of services: in home cooking, nearby shopping, cleaning, dog walking to name a few. My father and his partner look forward to the visits and have such great things to say. Assistance and patience with their physical and memory care needs has been a huge plus and peach of mind as any family caregivers are out of state for now. The scheduling and payment/invoice portal is a huge plus as we can easily track the schedule. Highly recommend A.H. and the Sun City staff for the above mentioned reasons as well as their flexibility, understanding, professionalism and overall ability to support in so many ways.

Assisting Hands has been a lifesaver. My father lives in Sun City and all of his children live in the northeast. We needed to find someone who could help him with life's basic functions. Not only have they been able to assist with cleaning, cooking, shopping, but Assisting Hands has been able to provide my father and his elderly girlfriend a sense of normalcy and something to look forward. The caregivers are kind, diligent, and exceptionally hard-working. Further, their pricing is more than fair for the services they provide. We really hit the jackpot with Assisting Hands and could not be more pleased with their services. They have my, and my family's, highest recommendation.
