Just picked my father up today from his stay here. He had only 2 complaints...1- his mattress wasn't comfortable for his particular type of ailment. That was immediately fixed (within minutes.. not hours) And his second complaint was that he missed his YouTube t.v. (definitely can't expect a care facility to have that altho they do all have cable t.v.) It should be noted, that he has had really good care there. All of the nurses, and aids were very friendly and accommodating for him. Everything right down to changing his salad dressing , to what he likes, and also remembering it next time he had a salad for dinner. I know these all sound like little things, but it's the little things that sometimes go un noticed. Im sure he will end up back in a nursing home at some point, but this is the one we will pick for him. Oh one other thing.... he was there for his birthday, and mentioned to one of the nurses ( possibly an aid... not sure) that all he wanted was a glazed doughnut, and sure enough.... on her way to work the next day, she went out of her way to pick him up one from a bakery! This shows the difference between going to your job for a paycheck, and you going to your job to make a difference in people's lives.
