If I could give this place negative 155 stars I would. Advertised as a retirement home on sites such as "A Place For Mom", it's no more than a house with boarders that family members have given full guardianship over their "loved" ones. Almost daily there is some incident at the facility, ranging from fights amongst the residents to a fire alarm being set off by a lit cigarette inside the facility, to a resident dying from starvation at the facility. I use the term facility very loosely. I've not met a certified medical professional that works there. There's no curfew enforced, residents walk the neighborhood all hours of the night. It's not unusual to be solicited for a cigarette or money even. I've witnessed one resident soliciting a passing car for money with offers of salacious acts. I've been approached by one resident who threatened my life for refusing a request. He's been incarcerated for an incident afterwards. I've made friends with a few residents too. They aren't managed at all. They hold on to hope of getting out from under the care of their payees. But the truth of the matter is they really have no chance of ever leaving the place, they bring in an income. Medications are given and I've not seen any of them actually improve once they arrive. They only disintegrate into a worse mental state and some become clearly insane. It's sad. I wish they would shut this scam down because these people deserve so much better. They are expanding unfortunately. The only blight on this blue collar neighborhood is Artrips. So, if you wish for your loved ones last years to be spent in a place where they will receive no care, little nutrition, and chaos daily.... Well you're not a good person, and this is the place I hope you end up.
