“Jessi Padilla “ I am writing this review with both gratitude and sadness. My father recently passed away, and he was truly a living hero and one of the most remarkable human beings I have ever known. I was blessed to call him my father, and anyone who had the privilege of meeting him would often say how lucky they felt to have known him. He was truly one of a kind. When the time came for my wife and me to make the incredibly difficult decision to place my father on hospice, we were overwhelmed. In my mind, I truly believed he would be with us for another ten years. Sadly, we lost him on April 13 at the age of 89. One thing I know for certain is that I could not have gotten through this experience on my own. We were incredibly fortunate to have what I believe is the best hospice nurse anyone could ask for: Jessi Padilla. From the very first time we met Jessi, it felt like a tremendous weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Her knowledge, experience, compassion, and professionalism immediately put us at ease. She made an overwhelming process feel manageable and took care of so many details, allowing us to focus on what mattered most—spending precious time with my father. Jessi quickly became more than a nurse to us; she felt like family, and she always will. We had countless questions throughout this journey, and she was always there with answers, guidance, and support. No matter when we called or what we needed, Jessi responded. Even when she was out of town with her family, she was available to help. She often anticipated our needs before we did and made sure we had the supplies and resources necessary to care for my father. What stands out most is how genuinely she cares—not only for her patients, but for their families as well. Her kindness and dedication go far beyond what anyone could expect. Applegate Hospice is truly fortunate to have someone like Jessi on their team. Although my father is gone and we continue to navigate the grief of losing both a father and a best friend, it means so much that Jessi still takes the time to call and check on us. Her compassion did not end when her professional responsibilities did. If families are given a choice in selecting their hospice nurse, I would recommend Jessi Padilla without hesitation. I’m sure there are many wonderful nurses, but Jessi is truly exceptional. During one of the most difficult times of our lives, she provided comfort, guidance, and support that our family will never forget. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Jessie Padilla
