My experience was negative. I found it to be an unsafe environment. The high turnover of employees is detrimental to the care of the clients. I genuinely worry for anyone living there. Some of the workers are good people who try hard, and they deserve credit, but it's just not a very professional environment overall. A few negative experiences I'll describe...Some workers had a fight inside the kitchen during dinner one time. They sometimes didn't respond to the call buttons at all, so if you fall down nobody will come help. The dinner "options" were not options. You get what they made, no alternative most nights. I remember being told there was no desert bc they didn't have anything in the kitchen....but then workers had armful of cookies and rice crispy treats when they clocked out and went home...if a window that faces the parking lot is left open the marijuana smell will stink up the unit bc the workers take smoke breaks in their cars. The price to live at Promenade and the quality of life for the residents are totally mismatched. Edit: I see that Promenade responded suggesting I speak with the director. I spoke with her numerous times before writing my original review. I stand by every word I wrote above. When I say my prayers at night I often ask God to watch over the residents of Promenade bc I doubt the staff are watching over them. Maybe the place has improved, I hope so, but I'll make it crystal clear that speaking with the director is a step I took and it did very little. Asking me to speak again after I write a review makes it seem like we never spoke, so I'm clearing that up. I did it, it didn't help.
