I cannot say enough wonderful things about this memory care community. The staff consistently demonstrate compassion, patience, and genuine care for each resident. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere.<br><br>The caregivers treat residents with dignity and respect while providing the support they need to remain comfortable and engaged. The team does an excellent job communicating with families and keeping them informed about their loved one's well-being.<br><br>The community is clean, well-maintained, and offers meaningful activities that help residents stay active and connected. It is evident that the staff truly care about the residents and strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where everyone feels valued.<br><br>Knowing that a loved one is receiving such attentive and compassionate care provides tremendous peace of mind. I would highly recommend this memory care community to anyone looking for quality care and a supportive environment for a family member with memory loss.

Don't be taken in by outward appearances, for it's a beautiful facility. During your tour, you will see the memory care residents engaged in meaningful activities, staff distributing juice, and administration providing reassurances that all your loved one's needs will be met... until they're not.<br>Misplaced laundry, dishes from meals left in rooms, trash not emptied, care plans not being followed, safety requests ignored, the list goes on. Red flags to say the least, but what facility is perfect? But after seeing black and blue faces, and residents in wheelchairs when they were previously walking made me take notice. Then, a flu bug ran rampant in the unit. I was told upon visiting that there were 20 + residents sick, and staff couldn't keep up, so "there's BM on the carpet..."<br>When I arrived at my client's room, she was in urine soaked clothes, in a urine soaked bed, wearing socks soiled with diarrhea. She was so confused, and her eyes sunk in from dehydration. A full glass of ginger ale was left on her bedside table. Most shocking was a large blood crusted skin abrasion present on her arm, and, yes, feces on the carpet. Once I changed her clothes and bed sheets, dressed her wound and gave her liquids, I requested she be checked and given fluids frequently through the night, but was given no reassurances. I returned the next morning and had an ambulance take her to ER, where she was eventually admitted. And a few days later it was discovered she had a broken wrist ...<br>The State found Anita's Garden negligent and were cited for several violations, and my client moved to an excellent facility after her 10 day hospital stay.

My mom has been at Anita's Gardens for over a year, and I can’t say enough good things. The staff truly care about the residents — they greet her by name, keep her engaged, and make sure she feels at home. The community is always clean and well-maintained, and the activities are wonderful. It gives our family so much peace of mind knowing she’s safe, cared for, and genuinely happy.
