I have trusted Alternatives in Home Care to provide care for my father for more than 2 years now. I cannot say enough good things about the company, the owner, and their commitment to the only thing that really matters, my dad. My father has dementia and can be very difficult to take care of. Dementia is a devastating disease that requires a fully trained and committed staff who are understanding and willing to deal with the constant ups and downs. It is true that care givers and scheduling sometimes has to change. That's part of caring for the client. The fact that they are willing to make changes to staff based on my dad's needs shows how much respect they have for the person being cared for. They have gotten me through some difficult things, and things aren't going to get easier going through this process with my dad, but I completely trust Alternatives' commitment to providing the best care for him. I also appreciate the owner's no nonsense approach to getting things done. Some people may call that rude, but I call it standing up for the person that needs the most protection during this difficult stage of life, the patient. As a child of someone being cared for, that is what I want in a home care agency. Someone who will stand up for my dad and get things done when I cannot and while I'm also dealing with my own emotional journey. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do!
