I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience at the Oro Valley Hospital Same Day Surgery Center. From the moment I checked in with Andy at registration, everyone treated me with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Every nurse I met made me feel cared for, but I especially want to thank Amy, my OR nurse. I was very nervous before surgery, and she literally held my hand, explained every step of the process, and helped me feel calm and reassured. Her kindness meant more than she probably realizes. My surgeon, Dr. Domingo Cheleuitte with Tucson Orthopaedic Institute, was absolutely outstanding. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and has one of the best bedside manners I’ve ever experienced. He is genuinely kind, compassionate, and incredibly skilled. My surgery went so smoothly that I had only a little pain the day of surgery and the following day. Since then, I’ve had virtually no pain—just some expected swelling. I couldn’t be happier with my outcome. I also want to recognize Dr. Cook, my anesthesiologist. He was wonderful from start to finish. Before we went into the operating room, he made sure I was comfortable and at ease. As he administered the anesthesia, he stayed by my side and even held my hand, which was incredibly comforting. That small gesture made such a big difference. Everyone at Oro Valley Hospital worked together as a team to provide exceptional care. I felt safe, respected, informed, and genuinely cared for throughout my entire experience. I highly recommend Oro Valley Hospital Same Day Surgery, Dr. Cheleuitte, Dr. Cook, and the entire staff. Thank you all for making what could have been a stressful experience such a positive one.

I had a great experience during my recent procedure. I was very nervous because I had never been put under anesthesia before, but from the moment I arrived, the nurses and staff were incredibly kind, professional, and reassuring. Everyone took the time to answer my questions, explain what was happening, and help me feel calm and comfortable. Their compassion and positive attitude made a stressful situation much easier for me. The entire team treated me with respect and genuine care, and I felt I was in very good hands throughout the process. I am very grateful for the excellent care I received and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone. Thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and staff for making my experience such a positive one.

It is important to note that we scheduled a recent toe fusion surgery at Oro Valley hospital because of the positive experiences we've had there. Every person we interacted with on the day of and the days leading up to the surgery was wonderful. we were up for an early morning surgery. the young lady who took all of our information prior to going back for surgical prep was very personable and professional. The nurses in pre op were very efficient, and made me feel completely at ease. the anesthesiologist answered all of my questions, and was a great team partner. The nurse in the recovery room was the same one that took my initial information over the phone prior to surgery. She was a pleasure on the phone initially, and very supportive in what was a very brief recovery. doctor whitiger did his usual extraordinary work, and followed up with a phone call the following morning. As consumers, we all have the choice of doctors, hospitals etc. For our family, the choice of Doctor Whitaker and the Oro Valley hospital was very positive.

Just went in for a quick outpatient surgery. Got checked in quickly and smoothly.. taken back to the prep room, which was very clean and had a warmed up blanket on the bed for me! I only had to wait about 2 hours til surgery but I was checked out frequently were time just flew by. All the staff members there i had interactions with were so kind and smiling. My OR Nurse was fun spirited and had me feel super comfortable as soon as we got into the OR. The recovery nurse was super kind as well and easy to talk to. Overall, my experience was great!!
